I learned that engaging students in the classroom is very beneficial in various ways.
I have learned different methods and ways to incorporate them into my teaching. Some of the methods I already use and was not aware of the benefits.
One way to learn a new concept is by researching a subject by doing a research project. This will assist with language art skills that can be applied at real world at work.
Comment on Florencia Nunez's post:
very well stated Nunez. We have to adapt a combination of various styles to fit the needs of each and every student.
learn various/different method strategies.
I have learned so much and i will be able to move this information into my classroom and teach it and see students reacting and learning everything I'm teaching.
I have never teach anyone in a classroom setting and this has opened my way of thinking and understand ways that people learn the best
All of these methods and tools are amazing and I can see how you would need to have each one for different students and times. I didn't realize there where so many different types of instructon.
It’s been very interesting.
There are many instructional methods that I have not been using. This course has taught me a lot about interactive, direct, indirect and independent learning methods that I can start incorporating in the classroom.
Learning all the different strategies that can be applied, great lessons!
There are so many different types of teaching strategies and using a combination in one class is a great way to keep students engaged and motivated to learn the material
Learning about new methods can help instructor connect with students.
I think it depends on the subject that is being taught and many other variables that go into it. I am not a seasoned instructor by any means, but I have found what works for me and it has proven quite successful.
As a student I have always kept learning logs for each program I have completed. I usually do this for future reference but never knew it had a title. I will implement this into my next program. I will have to make a determination for how often I inspect them, unless looking over them each lesson is necessary?
Like other instructors, I have found that not just one teaching style works. You must use a combination of techniques that attracts all learning styles of our students to help keep them motivated.
Observing your students and then using the diffierent methods to see which method better benefits your students.
Yes, I agree. It has been challenging.
Ive learned that Ican use quite a few tools out of my tool box to keep my students engaged in class. Such as direct and indirect methods. My favorite is interactive instruction. where my students will demonstrate telephone and computer skills. This is whin I ask the students to get in small groups. They will preform mock office telepnone calls for doctors appointments.
This section makes me think about learning logs. Getting them in a place in the classroom where they can be accessed each day and I can get them on the weekends.
