Incorporate all learning styles to reach all off your students
This section reinforced the importance of adapting teaching strategies to support visual learners. Using tools like flowcharts, incorporating multimedia elements such as color and movement, and selecting visually rich materials can significantly improve understanding. I plan to be more intentional about integrating these approaches to better support diverse learning styles.
Using different learning styles in my classroom has shown me that students grasp concepts in very different ways, so a single teaching method is not effective for everyone. Incorporating a mix of visual, discussion-based, and hands-on approaches has improved engagement and helped me identify students’ actual understanding. It has also made me more flexible and reflective in how I deliver content.
I specifically liked the idea of using the Learning needs assessments and will be encouraging students to not only learn ideas in their own way but to also grasp other concepts.
I have learned and acknowledged ways of how students retain information better and faster.
I feel more confidence! I feel I have better approaches to deliver information to students and help them apply what they learned in the field.
I plan to use/integrate all 4 major learning styles (written, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) into my lectures, labs, and clinical settings. I feel this information is going to have a phenomenal positive impact on my teaching career! I am so grateful I am going through this training.
I try and do different styles of teaching for students and find what works best for each student. always have to adapt
I learn each students learning style and capabilities so that they will be able to learn to the best of their abilities
I learned that while lecturing and using power point or writing on boards will reach the visual and auditory learners, I need to make sure to change it up a bit to help the written and kinesthetic learners grasp the concepts in their own ways also.
I learned to use a variety of teaching styles to keep the students engaged and understand the students learning styles. Students should be engaged in collaborative, hands on, and visual learning tasks.
I learned about different learning styles and how different methods of instruction should be mixed in order to provide instruction to reach different students with various learning styles.
One of the biggest things I took away from this module is that students learn in many different ways, and there’s no single method that works for everyone. The idea of learning styles, auditory, visual, written, and kinesthetic, really stuck with me because it highlighted how important it is to mix up my instruction. Students have their own preferences for how they absorb and make sense of information, and using a variety of strategies can make a huge difference in their engagement and understanding.
I also realized that learning styles aren’t meant to box students in. Instead, they help us recognize their strengths while encouraging them to grow in other areas. This reminded me that I shouldn’t just teach in the way that feels most natural to me; I need to be intentional about offering multiple pathways for learning so that every student has a chance to succeed.
Another important insight was how powerful hands-on activities, collaborative work, and real-world connections can be. These approaches support different learning preferences, but they also help students see meaning in what they’re learning and apply it beyond the classroom.
Going forward, I plan to be more mindful about weaving a range of strategies into my lessons, discussion, visuals, hands-on tasks, reading, and more. I also want to pay closer attention to how my students respond to different methods so I can adjust my instruction as needed. Overall, this module reinforced how essential flexibility, creativity, and purposeful planning are when it comes to meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
Talk to community advisory committee to see what their business needs are and have students create a solution.
My takeaway is that teaching can be blended and creative to appeal to all learners. It takes prepration but worth it for better student outcomes.
Learning styles should be identified and content should be assigned with each individual's personal learning style in mind to increase engagement and retention.
you can always make sure that each student is able to ask questions and feel comfortable doing so
Be mindful of how the students respond to each learning style you choose.
Learning styles are very important to the classroom climate. IT makes a big difference in the teaching strategy used and reaching each student.
Combining multiple instructional strategies enhances learning by engaging diverse cognitive processes, accommodating varied learner needs, increasing engagement, and strengthening knowledge retention. A blended approach promotes understanding and improved academic performance compared to single-method instruction.
