Having a well-defined Mission Statement for the institution is crucial. The statement lays out the goal and factors to reach that goal for the department.

I've learned that career services can really contribute to student success. I intend to have resources available and plan events.

When setting up the Career Services Department it is important to have the mission purpose and goals clearly in minds.  While all sections of the Career Services Department might not be utilized initially, it is important to know where you are going in the short and long term.  This will ensure that the success of the Department is met.

Career Services plays a vital role in any institution.  It is key to share informed data, statistics, and insights with faculty, staff, students, and alumni.  Sharing this information strengthens the relationships between faculty and staff, in turn further developing programs and initiatives that impact students in a positive way.  Additionally it is important to share insight with employers.

Gaining insight and working collaboratively with employers for feedback, industry insight, mock interviews, panels, and more drives the effectiveness of career readiness initiatives, and programs, all of which better serve the needs of students.

Career services is a great resource for our students. Being able to have job search information and other materials can help with setting the student up for success. I have implemented almost all of these resources from this module for our campus.

The mission statement is the foundation to your purpose and goals as a career readiness team/coach.  Working collaboratively internally and externally as well as becoming involved in associations such as NACE is key

Starting a Career Services department involves juggling multiple shifting needs and responsibilities. Having a concrete mission statement and drive to help students is the north start. Ensuring proper focus and cohesion are paramount. If Career Services is confused then the job search will be confused.

As my career services department creates a mission statement, I need to have several issues ready, such as job readiness training and a library if possible.

Creating a mission statement for the department, collaborating with admissions, education and financial aid as it takes the collective to make the institute successful.

It is important to train the students well, which is our most important goal.  We want the best graduates from our school as possible.  We want our students to succeed and want them to be sought out by local employers prior to graduation so that they can meet their career goals.  Our school is new and have entered this role fairly recently.  These modules have helped me learn more about what I need to do to help our students succeed.

Career Services is one of the most important roles in any educational facility. Students enroll with the desire for a good job after graduation. I love learning how we can improve and utilize Career Services in almost every department.

En una universidad es clave para conectar a estudiantes y egresados con el mundo laboral. Facilita la transición de los estudiantes al mercado de trabajo, colabora con empresas para ofrecer prácticas profesionales, pasantías y empleos.

I have learned that having an organized and clearly defined Career Services department benefits the entire institution including admissions, current students, alumni, community partners, etc.  A Career Services department needs to have tools and resources in place so that students can have information and know how to be successful once they complete their training.

at this module I learned that Career Service department impact the entire institution. Students, Graduates, alumni's, employers and Admission department, all of them benefit from work of CS. The Career Services Department and/or library need to have many publications to assist students with developing job search skills and confidence. When setting up or revamping your Career Services Department, it is important to start with a mission statement. The mission statement will help everyone in your institution understand the purpose and goals of the department.

I learned the many different ways in which career services can help students as well as what the main goal is: to help students become successful. We don't just provide information to satisfy, we ensure that our students are being trained properly, have all of the information they need, and become the employees every company desires to have.

I have learned just how vital the career services department is for the success of our students. Its imperative that our department have a clear and well thought-out foundation and are implementing tools and resources that will allow our students to find and qualify for the career they deserve upon graduating.

I learned the importance of crafting a missions statement.

The importance of staffing your career services department and including the resources needed to achieve success for your students.

Being able to provide the most up to date info to our students is what make our department so strong. Being able to strive all type of duties that will make our job helpful & motivated to the students looking for work.
