I agree the catalog keeps us focused and provides the documentation to support decisions that are made, which at time can be very difficult.

the catalog is so valuable because it contains all important information about the school. Having the catalog allows you to accurately give correct information about the school or the program

Because it contains the course facts and the information needed to help the student and the employee, especially the employee when representing the school.

Catalogs are the written guide and direction. It is like the book of rules and regulations. It informations all of the requirements and expectations. Questions on admission, curriculumn, graduation, standards, codes, etc. are documented in the catalog.

catalogs provide a hard copy for everyone. With a hard copy it doesn't get erased or deleted. You don't have to plug it in to use it. A catalog can travel any where and is available 24/7. It is a good way to know that all the information has been given to a student. Students can refer back to a catalog for clarification on a question. You can mark or highlight a catalog.

A school's catalog is a legal document. It tells the student exactly what is expected of them, what exactly the school will provide for the tuition. It is the school's rule book and the student's guide.

Catalogs are critical because it sets the ground rules and guidelines for the students to follow. It is also a very useful tool for employees of the college to follow as well. Without it students would not know what was expected of them and what they can expect from the college and their education.

Catalogs are important because they represent the official policies and requirements.

A college catalog is extremely valuable to students because it can be used as a reference guide throughout his/her program - it lists polices, rules, and regulations. Students can locate information about academic policies, program requirements, college polices, etc.

Every employee should be familiar with the catalog at his/her college - therefore, they can use it as a reference when needed as well as direct students to it when questions are asked.

The catalog is valuable because it covers everything from admission to academics. Students can access the catalog anytime they have a concern or question about the schools policy and procedures for any required course in their program. Employee's have the answers right under their finger tips. We can access the catalog anytime online.

Provides information.

Catalogs hold all the information that a student is required to have before enrolling into the college. It is important because it lists all of the requirements each program requires for enrollment; it lists any and all FA requirements, such as payment schedules, refunds. Attendance, policies and procedures should be listed as well as complete program descriptions. It is important to staff also, as they can refer to the catalog when they are in doubt of certain issues that may arise in their everyday routine.

Catalogs I would say are one of the most critical items to have at the school. It give the student a chance to see how everything is broken down and how the core of the college is specifically run.

The catalogs serve as a valuable resource for students and faculty alike. It clearly outlines programs and different requirements that each one has.

I think the catalog is a guide for both student and employee. Helps students to know their rights and duties. For the employee is a constant reference for academic offerings, standards and policies .

Catalogs helps create dialogue between the student and the employee and it also can help make the experience more tangible for both staff and student.

The keyword there is "Factual". And this information is also "documented". This is another part of the process that helps set expectations properly (accurately) as far as cost, the program and placement goes.
