The Catalogs a great reference for the students to refer to for any question are concerns they may be having about the school.

The phrase I have used over and over again is that the school catalog is their bible. If it's in there it's published and announced and it's what you follow. If it's not in there, then you can't enforce it. The catalog is everything.

I think the best way for students to be made aware of the catalogs value is at the new students orientation. Also, if every staff member referred students to the catalog when they have questions then students would become more aware of how and where they can find the correct information themselves.

Sherree,

I agree that most questions can be answered by referring back to the catalog AND reviewing the enrollment agreement.

Cindy Bryant

When speaking with future students are students answer all question honestly. If you do not know the answer find out by refering to your catalog.

A catalog is a valuable instrument between the student and the teaching institution. The catalog sets the expectations, outcomes, guidelines, and rules for the success of the students. The school employees, as well as the students, need to be familiar with the statements and explanations in the school catalog. The catalog is a resource tool for the benefit of students and is a valuable source of information regarding the schools policies and procedures.

The school Catalog is a reference guide for the students and employees. If the student has any questions, they can usually refer to the school catalog to find the answer to otheir question becuase the school must disclose accurate information in the catalog.

The catalog includes the policies and other relevant information that allows the student to make informed decisions about their education.

Catalogs are important because it is used for referencs by employee and students. if there is a question that the students or employee has they can go to their catalog and find there answers to the questions

Catalogs are important because it is used for references by both students and employees. It gives valuable information such as the expectations, guidelines and rules for both students and employees on how to be enforce.

Documentation easy to refer to by student and employee for school policies and procedures. Referencing the catalog provides the information for admissions and financial aid information and help the student along with the employee to make informed decisions.

Catalogs provide students and employees with the basic policies and procedures of the college. Everyone should read and understand the catalogso there is no confusion as far as the day to day requirements on campus.

Desi,

Understandably catalogs provide the students with the basic knowledge to be successful. How often have we discovered that a student's issue falls outside the realm of the catalog and they turn to staff and faculty for a solution. How is this handled at your school?

Cindy Bryant

The catalog provides the school with a vehicle to give current and prospective students all necessary disclosures, program information, financial aid information, and policies and procedures that allow them to make an informed decision prior to enrollment and o continue to be informed of program requirements while enrolled.

The catalog is a valuable resource for both the student and college employee. For the student, it represents a promise from the school; a promise of what the school offers and an outline of what the student's responsibilities will be as they pursue their education. For a school employee, the catalog is a quick reference source for information which may be shared with both prospective students and those in attendance.

The catalog is a valuable tool as it provides direction and detailed information to both the students and the school employees.

It is a reference for the school, its employees and the students. All of these constituents will always have the "reference" of policies and procedures. This way, there are no "one offs" or making up policies throughout the student's academic career.

The catalogs are an import part of the perspective students gathering information on our school as well as the schools disclosure and transparentcy on our guidelines, student services, start dates, academic information, financial aid information programs of study and course descriptions

Kathleen,

HI! Thank you for your participation. You mention the phrase "one offs" could you clarify what you mean't by this term?

Cindy Bryant

It is a wealth of knowledge to both student and employee, and it adds to the transparency we want to provide to those students (which in turn, helps to build the trust necessary for the student to be sucessful. And of course, their success is our success).
