I have learned in this module to give the students the support they need and by learning from modules like this.
As an instuctor I will use the CMS to make sure my students have the tools they need to be able to do the lesson and show my support for thier learning needs and keep the lesson interesting.
I believe this will be a great expeeince to actually learn more Technical approaches via on-line Teaching and Learning for the Instructior and student. If I folloow these gudie lines and practice them I shoudl be come a great on-line Instructor in a short period..

I have pretty good tech skills and even though I teach High School students, who are fairly good at using technology, I must never assume they understand and can navigate my online instruction and materials. I must make sure my CMS is effective and operating smoothly and I will always offer tech support to help my students access the content they will need to succeed in my online leasrning environment.
Make sure I have understanding of the CMS system I am using. Provide learning support and provide feedback. Make sure we are communicating with our students.
I found it interesting how important it is to have a goal. As the teacher, you have to know what it is the student is expected to learn in that subject then become familiar with what the student is suppose to complete such as the course work. By doing this it will help the teacher know how they will teach the course.

I learned that quality online courses need to have: Structural integrity, Navigational simplicity, Intellectual interaction, and Active learner-centered learning.

As an instructor it is crucial to look at the big picture when developing e-learning materials. It is crucial that you have a plan in place for students who may not complete the work on time or may encounter other issues. Additionally, all teachers for the course do not necessarily have to follow the same exact lessons, as long as they cover their main topic it is okay to have different activities and assignments.
In order to be a successful online instructor it is important the we familiarize ourselves with the CMS instruction system and provide a interactive learning system for the students.
The most important thing that I have learned about this topic is the importance of the instructor being functionally efficient with the chosen CMS. This reading, thus far, has reminded me of the fact that the beginning of an online course can start out slowly. Why? The students may be at different levels of comfort and competency with technology. As a result, it is vitally important to take the time eductae all participants in the beginning to ensure success over the course of the clas. Another important point, from this topic, is that I do not want my students to fall into the category of attrition.
This topic also pointed out the importance of setting up your course in an organized way with modules.

Wow! I have been doing this for many years and the Module has given me many new concepts I can use to improve my setups and delivery programs. This will allow my students to gain more knowledge using CMS.
I learned that as an online instructor - there are several ways to interact with the students and make sure that they are undersatnding the information in which you are delivering. Also, students learn at different levels
In order for my students to be successfull, I must set them up for success by making sure nothing goes wrong on my end. I must also be patient with them, and understanding when technical issues do arise.
I need to make sure I stay involved and start discussions and keep the students interested and wanting to learn.
It is important to remember that all students and staff learn at different levels and speeds. Some have no knowledge of computers and some seem to not soak it in online as easily. So therefore just to support all and remind them that we are here for any assistance.
Good communication is imperative in online courses.
I need to ensure the students that I can assist them if they encounter any technical difficulties or other questions.
To make the most of a virtual learning environment, I need to make sure that I am using a consistent structure in my course. I cannot control what other educators do, but I can make sure that my course is easy to navigate and use for students. That being said, I need to make sure I myself and fully competent in the LMS that my district has chosen which is Canvas, so that I can make sure that my course is ready for students and that I can help them be successful in this new type of environment.
