AI is about creating intelligent machines that can think and "act" like humans.
I am excited about the possibilities of IA for learning as well as for making things easier.
yet, my concerns are about the misuse of the tools, like for creating fake images, videos, news, etc
AI is very interesting and has so many different aspects. I am familiar with ChatGBT but I wasn't aware how it was developed. I have never heard of OpenAI and I am interested in learning more!

I am already pretty familiar with AI, but I liked how the information was organized to describe the different functions performed within itself.
AI has its pro for efficient and easy access to information and knowledge; but lacks effort in individuals learning on their own or questioning accuracy.
AI has many benefits in the educational environment, however there should be caution when using such resources as it decreases students own functioning power, as they become more reliant on technology.
I learned that ChatGPT is built on advanced transformer-based neural networks, trained on large datasets with a knowledge cutoff and important limitations such as bias and lack of real-time awareness. I intend to apply this knowledge by using ChatGPT thoughtfully, as a support and learning tool, while verifying information, designing better prompts, and encouraging responsible, critical use.
AI is very useful for interactive learning. It has a great role in an assisted learning environment.
I never knew AI / chatbots went back to the 1950s. Seems I have a lot to learn :)
AI provides quick resource for student, however it also give instant gratification thereby student may get too dependent and that personal analysis is put aside.
I learned the importance of understanding AI and how it can fit into the education process. I really like the last slide of the module where it talked about being informed about AI to be able to make a decision on whether or not to use it in a learning environment.
the "quickserv" method of learning is a big help for the students to have the quickest answer to questions. but will it provide answers to critical decision making involving human life?

Learning about AI is crucial for understanding its impact on educators' and students' knowledge and scholarship. Advancements in AI will transform society by enhancing healthcare, improving efficiency, and advancing education, while raising concerns about job displacement, ethical dilemmas, inequality, and data privacy challenges. As an educator, I want to ensure my students enter the workforce with the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed.
AI has both benefits and drawbacks. It can be used in our day to day and in education. We need to adapt to it and incorporate it into teaching since students rely on this. We can use it to save time and get ideas for learning plans, topics, activities etc.
AI has it's pros and cons. It is a 24/7 tool students can utilize to study, but needs to be utilized appropriately so they are still learning to retain information, and understanding to build critical thinking abilities.
It is helpful to understand the history and capabilities
Benefits of using AI in teaching and for learning. How it can save time. Help with analogies. Explaining difficult concepts. Make up questions. Help the student learn.
