Comment on Kylie Ackerman's post: I agree with you.

I learned the importance of understanding AI and how it can fit into the education process. I really like the last slide of the module where it talked about being informed about AI to be able to make a decision on whether or not to use it in a learning environment.

I like the suggestions this part of the module had for dealing with different types of students. I will implement some of them. I have already faced some of the challenges and feel better equipped after going through this part of the module. I also learned the different types of students and how to deal with each type.

I have learned that engaging the different generation in their respective ways will facilitate better learning for them. Also that diversity in the instructional method will accommodate better learning as well. I also think the best approach for me is to feel the students out and see what they respond best to since each person is different regardless of their generation.

I have learned the value of how the younger generations learn. While I expect a majority of the students to be from younger generations I will incorporate the use of techniques from my generation and the next and not just the current generation.

The differences between generation is very distinct. The use of technology by each generation is interesting and can be used to teach them in different ways by implementing different uses for each generation. Honestly the overview and generalization of each generation was really nice to read and gave me insight into my own generation. It also opened my eyes to see how I see myself compared to the previous and post generation. I have always seen my values and work ethic a little different than my generation and I have been seen as the previous generation. This will give me… >>>

I learned that the best way to assess students is with an asynchronous chat/ discussion. This really stood out to me because it allows the students time to read, understand, and reply.

I have learned to be organized with lesson plans and lecture outlines. The more prepared I am, the better I will do. Also I have learned that the varying the instruction type is a great way to help with all students learning the material. The mini lecture info was also good. Using mini lectures of 15-18 minutes is a good idea so the students stay engaged.

The most important take away for me is to learn the names of the students. This will aid in building the instructor student relationship and make the student feel valued right away.

I have learned that the need for planning and preparation is great. The greater the planning and preparation the better things are going to go. I believe it relates to anything else in life, the more you put into it early on, the better the outcome will be.
