Student retention is a responsibility not only of the staff that works with the student but the students as well by expressing their challenges and approaching the right people who can help them before it's too late. Solutions cannot be found if not looked for. Reminding students of the Office of student services is a place where they can ask without judgement. 

I have learned ways to handle internal and external stress and being resilient in the face of all this challenges.

Everyone of us has stress in different levels and categories.I intend to use the techniques learned here to release stress to my students who have high level of stress while studying both emotional and psychological.

In my class. I provide recorded zoom orientation a week prior to class. This can be watch by late enrollees to keep them updated on the current class agenda as well as the expectations. 

A welcome folder with all informations needed for the term would be a wonderful idea. In my class i do a welcome orientation via zoom which consist of the agenda and expectations in the class. All instructors attend so we can introduce ourselves and provide guidance on how to navigate the 10 week term we have. 

Familiar face such as staff from admission department make student at ease during orientation. Ambassadors can also be instrumental to keep new students engage during orientation.

Institution should be available to student at reasonable times. 

This topic allows us intructors to understanding that each students have different learning preferrences thatis effective to them. Knowing this allow instructor to taylor instruction methods to deliver certain particular group of students. Combination of methods may also be effective to cater every students ability to learn. I will definitely ask or do survey on what best instructions students prefer to guideme in my instruction method. 

Developing strategies that is effective in student learning does not only makes teaching and learning fun but alos effective.
