I teach students the appropriate ways to utilize AI in their education so they are still studying efficiently but also not putting themselves at a deficit. I also reinforce the idea that AI is a good starting point, but should not be used to complete a full assignment. 

I learned that having constant access to information based on AI is good for students learning, but not necessarily for their critical thinking abilities or possibly accuracy of information learning. 

I ask my students which topics they are not understanding and are reaching out to ChatGPT to further investigate and assess what understanding they have developed for accuracy and critical thinking. 

AI has it's pros and cons. It is a 24/7 tool students can utilize to study, but needs to be utilized appropriately so they are still learning to retain information, and understanding to build critical thinking abilities.
