I teach the Baking & Pastry portion of our Culinary Arts program, and I think one way to implement or encourage creativity while also providing guidance to reach a competency or objective is to give students a basic recipe but then let them make the recipe according to their individual preferences for flavors. This combines emphasizing the standard techniques for mixing and baking methods while also allowing personalized variations on items. This requires both creativity and thinking beyond typical flavor combinations and trying something different.
I thought it would be interesting to have students write their own ethical dilemma and then present to fellow students.
Group activities such as brain storming can enhance creativity which leads to critical thinking.
Most important to include the CT (critical thinking) aspect in this module and I am glad to see this aspect included in "soft skills." Also, the dimension of creativity is absolutely needed in problem-solving and being solution oriented.
This is a strong reminder of how closely soft skills are tied to technical skill development within coursework. Experiential learning offers effective opportunities to strengthen both, and I plan to explore more ways to intentionally integrate these approaches into my courses.
Soft skills are as important as any other skill.
Soft skills are a very important thing for us as educators to be able to bring out of our students.
As an educator, it is important to create a teaching environment that fosters creativity by helping to arrange group activities, building motivation, and by encouraging flexibility of thinking.
As an educator, it is important to ask the students questions and encourage students to ask questions as well to enhance their critical thinking skills. Have the students understands and explain the reasons behind their actions which help them move from beyond the task but develop their critical thinking
It is crucial to ask thought-provoking questions to engage students in learning. The best way for students to learn is to acknowledge what they are doing and why. Understand that they are giving a medication for high blood blood pressure instead of just saying here is your amlodipine.
Critical thinking and strategies to help support development of problem-solving skills are key.

Young adults today need to learn soft skills and also thinking on their own. Many are hesitant to think outside of the box and problem solve by themselves.

The Teacher need to encourage Critical Thinking because identifying arguments .recognizing contradictions ,and making decisions bases on solid evidence.
I agree that 'soft skills' are just as important, if not more important, than technical skills and experience. Good customer service and listening skills go a long way in getting a job, keeping a job and excelling at your job.
Critical thinking skills are fostered through writing and practicing problem solving. Encourage students to process information before reacting to situations.
Critical thinking helps our students not to react too quickly, the need to come with a solide solution / answer
Critical thinking is a skill that will show the students effective ways to trouble shoot systems and then come with logical ways to find a solution. Once taught this skill will stay with students forever.
