Adapting to the increase in technology use by students is imperative. Allowing students to use technology properly can be a helpful tool.

It was great learning that it is a good thing to reward students who arrive in class on time and ready with short activities that they can benefit from rather than holding it against those who are faced with challenges that could be beyond their control.

Flipped classroom for my student population is a good choice, my students are older and have experience and we all may benefit from experienced students to engage with me and others and enhance the learning experience.

Giving students option allows them to take ownership in their learning.

I learned that it is important to give students the ability to make decisions based on their learning style. I understand that some students are not great testers and I think it's important to support those students by using different learning styles as models for teaching.

The concept of the flipped classroom is interesting, and I feel that if I were a full-time professor, I would experiment with this model. The time it would take to develop this model seems out of range for the adjunct professor who has another profession.

I've learned that technology is a useful tool for the younger students and will be a helpful resource.

I see students utilizing ChatGPT frequently to create practice questions. I worry that they will use it for writing papers or other assignments, thus, not doing the work themselves. It is important to include technology, as the younger students only know life with tech.

Technology fort students and be very helpful in their learning

Technology as an addition to classroom learning is becoming more prevalent. I have found that while technology is great, it often fails to work, so I spend a lot of time preparing, and pre-troubleshooting my online courses to make sure that all the links, assignments, and quizzes work like they are supposed to.

This module taught me that teaching Net Generation students requires moving beyond lectures to foster critical thinking and engagement. I’ll use a flipped classroom model and interactive activities to promote deeper learning. I’ll also motivate students through clear expectations, choice, and positive reinforcement.

I feel this section of the course is a bit outdated as it fails to cover the huge impact that social media, and online discussion sites such as Discourse and Whats App, now has on our student body.  However, guiding students to use internet resources appropriately to enhance their learning is important.

Providing a mix of new and old technology can help students just because each person retains info differently.

I learned that students should make their own choices although they might make mistakes because when they go into their careers they will be making their own choices.

I like the thought of webquests, many applications in what I teach

Technology incorporated into class needs to have clear guidelines and examples. Students can be motivated to come to class timely when meaningful content and activities are initiated at the beginning of class meetings, so punishment is not the best way to prevent tardiness.

I love the flipped classroom concept. Will implement an aspect of my class like that in the fall.

I support rewarding students for their hard work; however, if some individuals regularly arrive late to class, it is counterproductive to continue rewarding them. While some situations may be out of one's control, it is essential to remind students that they are preparing for their future careers, where effective time management is crucial for job retention hired.

I really like the idea of incorporating webquests into my lectures - a great way to engage students in a way that they can relate to.

Using old technology and new technology in various ways can be beneficial to a broader generational base of students.
