Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.

I appreciated the way Bloom's Taxonomy was presented, e.g., ABCD.

I learned that using standards keeps lesson planning aligned with essential industry requirements and better prepares students for licensing exams. I plan to apply these strategies to ensure my objectives are targeted, meaningful, and relevant.

Objectives should be measurable.

I plan to incorporate the Blooms Taxonomy ABCD to keep my lesson planning aligned with standards and objectives.

The use of standards helps with compliance with laws and rules.  It helps keep the instructors in line with the general understanding of what the school

I learned to make sure i let my students know standards and expectations for the course.

Make sure objectives are concise.Make sure its attainable.

Objectives and outcomes will give students an idea/guide of what they will learn while also making it easier to know whether they have achieved the particular learning objective.

Creating objectives and informing the students of the standards to complete those objectives

Standards and objectives are a critical framework in lesson planning. they work hand-in-hand to guide instruction, ensure alignment with industry and academic expectations, and provide a clear roadmap for achieving desired learning outcomes.

Curricula must align with course objectives. If achieving a standard is the course objective, the evaluation of achievement should include a demonstration or application of a procedure.

Learning objectives must align with job standards. Instructors should understand and apply current industry standards to ensure students gain relevant, practical skills. Teaching materials must reflect real-world expectations, so learners become proficient and prepared for the workforce. Staying updated ensures instruction remains meaningful and effective.

I like having good objectives and standards. It gives clear expectations and focused instruction. Having clear objectives will allow for the assessment of student progress and continual improvement.

By connecting objectives with standards, I can track student progress more effectively and ensure that teaching remains purposeful, consistent, and student-centered.

What will you accomplish and measure your progress, can do!

Having a clear objective in your lessons helps students in understanding and achieving their goals

Standards keep us all accountable for what we are teaching and what students are learning.

The standards are industry driven and objectives are clear processes to obey and understanding the Standards

While I do not create my lesson plans from scratch, I recognize that our objectives and standards are determined by our licensing authority and accrediting bodies. However, this lesson has reinforced the critical role I play as an instructor in ensuring that these expectations are met while also making the material engaging and relevant for my students.

I now see the importance of crafting objectives that are positive, specific, and realistic, providing a strong foundation for effective teaching. Moving forward, I plan to evaluate my lesson plan objectives using Bloom’s Taxonomy and the A-B-C-D model, which will help ensure clarity and alignment with best practices in instructional design.

This insight has deepened my understanding of how to refine lesson delivery, making learning more impactful for my students while maintaining compliance with established educational standards.
