First time instructor

Teaching for the first time can be a very frightening experience. First, you need to have all of your materials ready and have a postive attitude that everything is going to be just fine. Second, While explaining the cousre contents, you should display some humor to break the ice and get the class involved. Third, I would find out what are the expectations of the students,so I can set ia nice enjoyable environment.

student attitude

One of the most important points of assuring student success in their field of study is, their maintaing a very professional attitude at all times. I've interviewed many of our extern sites, and all have expressed the importance of professional attitude in the work place. This point should be emphasized in all classes.

Student Does Not Want to Learn

If a student does not want to learn it could be quite mind boggling. To see a student waste his/her time is very unconfrontable. I would do everything in my power to ensure that the gratitude of learning would be very fulfilling. I would explain the importance of having an education vs no education and how far you can excel in life financially and the respect you obtain with an education vs no education.

Planning and Preparation

I like to be prepared before going into class everyday, I feel lost if I have to rush and I am not prepared before class starts, the students know this and sometimes take advantage of this, it also makes the class flow smoother when you are prepared.
