I feel frustrated delivering the vast amount of material in a short period of time while still trying to obtain the highest level of learning possible. Is this feeling being observed by anyone else?

It will be difficult for me to get to know my students in the clinical setting in the beginning. it will require strong effort on my part. I will keep short notes on each student as I go for reference to myself.

Need helpful suggestions on understanding objectives and goals. I am learning the importance of being prepared as I see the students "testing"me.

In class I try to vary the material presentation as often as possible to accomodate all the learning styles by using some powerpoint, class hand outs and in class lab demos.

I like to be prepared for class in advance by keeping a schedule or task manager.The learners appricate that there is no down time we are always on track even with a holiday in are schedule.

I have used all resources available and techniques, but I have one student that participates in class and seems interested in the topics at hand, and also volunteers. But when it comes to test taking, it is all downhill. Any suggestions how to reach this person. I have already talked to her one on one, I myself suffered from test anxiety, so I tried to give her some suggestions on test taking, so far nothing has worked.

Always meet and greet with smile , and know the students by name when they walk through your door it helps them feel more comfortable and makes things go more smoothly

As we all know being professional is an important part of being a sucessful instructor/teacher. You will be seen as an example of how the student should behave once he/she enters the work place. In some case we find professional can also come off as cold. It is important for any eductator to open them self's up to the student without crossing the line to unproffessional behavior. Alway give a kind ear and "hear" what the student is telling you don't just listen. look for sign of stress and evalutate the situation. Try to remember some personal detail about the student (EX:parent, favorate car, video games etc...)this you can give you a usful as tool to make small talk, it will give the apperence of caring and give you a good chance to get to know your students. Remember that people who are naturaly drawn to teaching are also people person too.

I agree that we should stay on top of all new contents to the course. Alway making sure you have the right material with your lacture.

The first time I was to teach the class I was very nerves but you don,t want the students to know this .the best I found to do was act yourself and explain thier question in full.

After the introduction of myself and the course, I occasionally ask my students to introduce each other. I prepare some interview questions in advance and after a few minutes of interview time, I have my students introduce each other. I have found it is easier for students to introduce and talk about others than it is to talk about themselves before a group!

I will be taking over the evening class from a very well liked instructor. So I'm trying to get some pointers of how to transition my students from one way of teaching to mine.
