re certification

After being in the field for a year, the re certification process was very helpful, as manythings have changed with federal regulations in the last year.  This is a good tool to add to what you already know.  It is nice to get refreshed.

great resource for both new and tenured staff

The course content was detailed and well organized to ensure both tenured and new staff members could easily benefit from the material.  I really liked how each section was outlined and offered print materials for us to print out and refer back towards even after we stopped having access to the course.

Great informative training.  The only area of opportunity I'd recommend for future trainings is to eliminate the discussion boards.  Almost all postings were maybe 1-2 sentences with very little content to the answers, which means we're really not learning anything from eachother's responses or applying what we know… >>>

New Employee!

This course has been an EXCELLENT tool for me being a brand new employee. It was extremely refreshing to come into a new job and right away be exposed to a place where transparency is valued so much. I feel really prepared to work with prospective students in their venture to acheive an education.

course requirement

This course has truly brought to light several concepts and issues that I never would have initially thought about. I am pleased to say taht I was able to gain knowledge as to the proper procedures of many of the concepts.

Excellent Course

This was an excellent course. This will be very helpfull in our current and future paths. This will be very informative to discuss with other instructors.

course requirement

I am glad this was a requirement to do this course. It was informative in many areas, and a refresher in many others.  I am looking forward to sharing what I have learned to my co-workers as well and learning all the facets of their job as well.

Agent Course

I thouroghly enjoyed taking the course. The different sections were easy to follow and I learned many new things from each section. I think the best thing I will take from this course is to be better organized with my information. I enjoyed participating in the forums and reading other suggestions on how they do things.

Training

The training that I went through today was influential and meaningful. I recently was hired on as an Admissions Representative, and I feel that this training has already prepared me for this position. It gave me a grasp on the questions and the preparation of information that I need to be educated on when dealing with a new prospective student. The Resource Notebook is a vital resource for agents and admissions representatives. Having the Resource Notebook on hand with all the knowledge and sources about your institution is a great tool. I know this resource will help me through this process. This training has also brought to… >>>

Clear and accurate picture

Providing detailed and accurate information is the key to success for the agent and the student.  Going to school in many ways represents a life change.  It is truly the responsibilty of the agent to create a clear image of the expectations, requirements, tools to be used, and potential benefits of attending my school.  I have found that the beter the picture is that you create in a potential students head, the better chance of success for both the agent and more importantly the student.  There are many exciting and important things to share with a potential student

Doing The Right Thing!

This is a simple process, but it is not always easy.  You see some that need help, and you really want to do something.  Then you also see those that resemble the reasoning that some of these regulations were put into place.  Some people utilize the system to make it work, and then there are those that try to work the system to avoid doing any work at all.  The simple answer is to just treat everyone equally by the same set of standards,  but the hard part is dealing with people who do not equally possess any set of… >>>

Good to know

No matter how many times I go through this training, I always find new information that I can apply to my job as an admissions representative. It is important to always stay on top of your own development in this industry. Things are always changing and it is important to kow when these changes happen. Thanks!

You can never take this too many times

When I first came to YTI, I was so invloved with learning A to Z that taking the compliance course was burdensome, but needed. This time around, I could really appreciate why we are doing this and why it is so important to propsective and current students, our employees and the overall health of our company

Moving Forward...

After the course, I feel a lot more confident talking with students about the big picture.

Review

This was a nice overview of infomation that I am familiar with.  I thought it was also interesting to learn new things about finanical aid and Title IV that I was not aware of.  I also find the info quite interesting to take into my own daily activities as well.  The Can-Spam act has always played with my understanding a bit, it is always nice to get a review on it, so that as a consumer I can use it as well.

Compliance Training

This course was very informative.  Items that one might think are harmless to perform or speak of can be very damaging.  I learned a lot from the course and will go back and reference the web sources and other information provided.

Bright Lines

It is good to have trainings and refreshers in the "bright line" parameters that are pertinent to our speech and actions.  Most of us do what we do because we know that what we do is help people change their life's course through career training.  It is involves regular interactions with individuals.  As those relationships develop it is important that we take care not to let familiarity with the person, and the more relaxed conversation that is a bi-product of that familiarity, ever lead to misinformation or unintentional misrepresentation.  We do not need to let it have a chilling effect… >>>

Training

I printed out everything from this training and am going to continuously going to review at least once a week so that I know it from front to back.  It is amazing what I didn't know and now do.

review is good!

This was very intersting to do. Compliance is always in the back of the mind, to bring it to the fore front for review was a positive.

Transparent Feedback

I gained a better understanding of FERPA and transparency.  Coming from healthcare I learned how FERPA and HIPAA correlate to one another.  The rules and regulations are there to be followed.  The mission and values of the institution were established based on the rules and regulations.  It becomes up to the administration of the institution to develop a culture of integrity so that employees will not waiver into grey areas that could lead to negative and potentially hazardess consequences.

Changes

I feel this course has helped me so I know exactly what I shoud say to a student or prospective student.  They are in charge of their future and I don't want to say anything misleading.  The course has made me ask questions that I normally may have not asked.
