This FERPA training reinforced the importance of protecting student privacy and handling educational records responsibly. I gained a deeper understanding of student rights regarding access to records, disclosure limitations, directory information, and the importance of maintaining confidentiality in both traditional and online learning environments.

This video explains how to understand the difference parts of the admission process. Understanding and knowing key words in the admissions world is crucial in being successful in helping students. 

It's extremely vital to follow all polices pertaining student records. Being consistent across the board and continuously practicing good practices increases student customer service and satisfaction. Being knowledgeable about what is right and wrong is important for the student's privacy and compliance within our system.

I learned that being aware and being knowledgeable about current policies, rules and regulation equips me to be in compliance with state rules. It not only strengthen my knowledge but it also allows me to guide the students as they embark upon their learning journey.

This training reinforced the importance of compliance, transparency, and ethical communication in all interactions with students. I learned how critical it is to follow federal and state regulations, provide accurate information, and respect student rights.

Recent federal regulatory changes have significantly limited the use of transcript holds for students with outstanding balances. While institutions were historically permitted under FERPA to withhold official transcripts, this practice has been largely restricted for schools that participate in Title IV federal student aid programs.

Effective July 1, 2024, under updated provisions of the Program Participation Agreement (PPA) and 34 CFR 668.14, institutions may not withhold transcripts for coursework associated with periods in which Title IV aid was received and applied. In practice, this means most students are entitled to receive their transcripts regardless of an unpaid balance.

I’ve learned that the most effective approach is keeping things simple: listen first, focus on functional limitations, and communicate clearly with both students and faculty. Early outreach and consistent follow‑up prevent most problems before they start. My biggest successes come from helping students feel comfortable advocating for themselves, and my biggest challenges usually involve misconceptions about what accommodations actually mean. The more we normalize accessibility, the smoother everything goes.

The information learned in this course is very important.  The Best Practices learnes regarding the FERPA theme and their application into the eduaction workplace give us an opportunity to development best practices to be in compliance with the requirements.

Action plan-to do some trainings on compliance like do and don't on Wednesday training. Make sure everyone stays in compliance and read your catalog. If it's not in the catalog you can not do it.

I have realized over the years of working for Ogle Hair school how important it is for the students to Trust us.  Through Transparency, i see that this is a very important and key factor to be successful and guiding someone to their rewarding career.   

Just finished course on Culture of Compliance, which had lot of information that is relative to making sure the student (s) get the correct information and be transparent to build value and interpersonal relationships, which interns gives them trust in you to send perspective referrals your way.  

Compliance thrives when collaboration becomes a habit, not just a policy. By Sharing ideas across department and keeping communication open, we turn potential issues int opportunities for improvements. To always keep up with any updates about our work place changes happens consistently and if anyone that may not know about the updates help keep each other informed informed that know one is left behind.

It is very important for your staff to be trained on what an onsite visitor may ask, therefore the action plan you choose for your staff to practice will be successful for your visit.

This module, I learned the importance of preparation and research in this role. It is crucial to be informed not just about your programs, but also the company and its evolving policies.

I have learned that the admission training is necessary when as admission. It is always good to learn about the marketing strategy and what they are advertising, because sometimes students assume you know what is being advertised.  

Compliance is more than policies- it's a daily practice. the best results come from clear actions plans. consistent follow up and open communication success happens quicky and support each other in staying audit-ready-every day

Limit the stares, the stereotyping, and yapping away, saying inappropriate comments or questions that can make people feel uncomfortable and feel they are being stepped on or looked down upon.
