The disability training took me a little longer than the previous ones. Understanding the differences between appropriate and inappropriate terms for identifying a person with disabilities and the appropriate accommodations to suit their ability to succeed equally. I appreciate the quizzes presented as refreshers as there is so much to learn. I will continue to apply best practices to serve our students.
There is so much to learn about FERPA and the rights to protect our students. Although I may be familiar with them, I have learned so much more in depth that I will continue to review so I can be on top of what I am in need to provide for the students.
I am a firm believer in providing compliance services at all times. As a previous leader I quickly learned how easy it becomes for one to forget the compliance role we must establish and utilize on a daily basis. Employees become "too comfortable" with habits and can cause unwanted issues in departments. Following compliance can not only protect the well -being of the culture we create at an institution but also provide equal opportunity for all.

I like that the quiz breaks down the points and give the correct answers so that there is a learning option for any incorrect answers. I am taking this online learning in the campus LRC and the students are quite talkative today as it is finals today and emotions are all over the place. Quite interesting as I have not been in this environment in many years.
I learned so much during the course. I am a brand new admissions rep, although I have done this before years ago at another post-secondary school. My plan is to make some flashcards with appropriate verbiage for the many aspects of my communication with prospective students. This will help me learn the compliant way to present the information.

The training received was very helpful. The training clearly explained information regarding policies, procedures, and expectations. It also provided plans of action to make sure all guidelines are followed and easy to enforce. I would highly recommend these courses.
