This class was very helpful related to the work I do everyday. Much of what was covered was a review of what I have previously learned, but the content was still relevant and worthwhile.

I feel that taking this coarse was a great learning experience, now as instructor i can pass it on too my students hope they can learn from it well done...

I feel like I've done this course several times, but every time I learn something new. From rules about the Cam/Spam to which licenses and registrations and accreditations schools need to have it all makes alot of sense.  I will continue to apply everything I've learned!

Learning the additional knowledge through Max Knowledge today has definately given me a new perpective on Complinace and Federal Regualations. Some I knew, some I didn't, but now I feel well informed.

I would almost dare to say that students should have to take a course like this, where they learn their rights. I am pretty sure that when I enrolled into school years ago, someone went over the information with me; however, it got lost in the shuffle. I think it is very important that you aren't just told your rights, but that you KNOW your rights. There is a big difference there. I have spent some time in public education, so knowing about confidentiality is ingrained in me! I try to protect my students and their information at all times.… >>>

The best part about this training is hearing from everyone else going through the same process. It's one thing to understand the rules on paper, but quite another to here from people applying them in real situations. I would highly recommend reading through the forums!

We are members of a very regulated industry.  And it should be considering our usage of Title IV funding.  But contrary to popular belief, "doing the right thing" and ONLY "doing the right thing" will produce the kind of prosperity that will benefit all of our customers and employees for years to come. 

As an admisions associate, it is important that we have a "student first" attitude.  This means that we must always keep the students best interest as our top priority.  We must make sure we gain a clear concept of the student, fully and accurately explain our program specifics and provide all informatin to them so that an informed decision can be made.  As we stay compliant througout the advertising, operations, and admissions processes we are able to build credibility as an institution with not only our prospective students but to the community as well.

Having ethical practices keeps not only the school in complaince but also keep agents honest. Being able to keep the students first will help in that ethical practices. The training went over and in detail about many different ways ethical practices can be put into place starting from agents and to everyone else effected with the school.

Regulations are an important aspect of my job as an admissions representative. There are rules in place to protect students from fraudulent practices and they are very important. The training I just received will help me ensure I am always performing my job within an ethical framework. Students I enroll will have real expectations and my school will maintain and further develop a good reputation as a result.

Through  the training I just completed, I realized that information I give to prospective students, is KEY for their success on his/her journey.  We have somehow in our hands the person he/she will become in the future not only professionally but ethical and morally.

It is always a pleasure to take these courses.  I enjoy the freshness of the comments because it allows me to compare the reality of our schools with other similars.

As the receptionist, I find it hard sometimes to make sure that callers calling in understand that FERPA prohibits me from giving them information about students...even if it's simply paging them for a phone call. They tend to get so frustrated when you try to route them to Stuent Services for further assistance and act as if it's because I simply don't want to be bothered. That's the furthest thing from the truth, I'm simply following compliance set in place to protect our students.

What else have you done that qualifies?

I felt like this course was a huge value to me with maintaining organization and updating of all Notebook information. I also was able to learn additional practices affiliated with Tuition Planning and Enrollment Agreements.

The course was very interesting, and a pleasure to do.

I thought I knew everything there was to know about working fairly with individuals with disabilities but I was so wrong!  I found that I was over compensating and much too generous to the disabled students and left my "OK" students to follow the rules.  I am so much more aware of the issues, documented and undocumented that my students deal with on a daily basis and I am more aware of how quickly situations can throw a person into a tailspin.  As a teacher, I must not only be observant of the laws for the documented disabled students but… >>>
