This course offers practical and applicable ways to "use every tool in the tool box"

Good techniques to review.

What I've learned is that the Guide is the Ideal. I learned that the most effective instructors adopt the Guide style, which balances high structure and control (like the Controller) with high rapport and concern for student welfare (like the Buddy). This model avoids the pitfalls of being overly rigid or overly permissive.

This course is very important to understand and help with the students discipline.

These strategies are a great way to continue to assess and improve classroom management technique as an instructor

Good tips on how to handle discipline in the classroom

I learned tips on how to manage my classroom more effectively.

While these are great tips for secondary levels of education, I haven't come across a point where I have needed to implement any of these tips in the post secondary level.

Techniques to reprimand students and have control of the class.

Small actions like pauses, eye contact, and movement can be impactful tools in classroom management.

Good advice for many situations. The use of We language is good too.

Having dealt with a wide range of classroom types, I have implemented all these techniques in the past including politely asking to leave and escalating to ed mgr. Usually good classroom mgmt reduces the chance of getting that far and *knock wood* I'm at a point in my teaching career that it shouldn't happen but I am prepared if it does.

I gained valuable, actionable techniques to address common classroom challenges, including student disengagement, disruptions, and disrespect. It was reassuring to realize that I had already been implementing some of these strategies in my approach to classroom management. Additionally, I now have a deeper understanding of the reasoning behind effective improvisation, allowing me to respond to unexpected issues while maintaining students' dignity. These insights will help me create a more supportive and structured learning environment where students feel respected and motivated to engage.

Good tips - I not you, written student-authored improvement plan, correct behavior not student.
