I found it interesting that Universal Design benefits everyone. It promotes independence and helps reduce stigma.

Universal accommodations are an excellent resource and should be utilized if needed.

Treating others how you want to be treated doesn't mean people dosent need special treatment.

Even though the law doesn't require it, accommodating universal design is beneficial for equal access.

Universal design is important to accomadating everybody

Universal design can be very useful and accommodating to anyone with a disability even though it is not required

Universal design, while not legally required, is helpful to have equal inclusion for everyone, including those with disabilities.

Accommodations are implemented for the success of individuals with disabilities so that they can have physical obstacles minimized as much as possible.

Universal Design makes it easier for institutions to plan ADA compliant devices such as ramps.

This passage reiterates that Section 504 and the ADA provide equal opportunities and access for all students but not guaranteed success.

The responsibility of the institution is to provide equal access not increase chances of success. Accommodations are meant to boost and equalize access to learning by addressing the need created by/related to the disabilty.

Section 504 details the requirement for accommodations for individuals with mobility issues. This ensures that students and employees at universities have access to applicable building and meeting rooms. It is important to know so that so as an institution we can make sure we are not hindering learning.

In terms of the accommodations themselves, I have learned that they are intended to provide equal access, not success, and are considered on a case-by-case basis. In addition, I am familiar with the role of Universal Design in facilitating greater accessibility. Moving forward, I plan to put this information into practice through my focus on eliminating obstacles and refraining from making assumptions.

Understanding what UD is and it is very important due to it benefits

UD can be used by everyone. It is sometimes accommodation enough for equal access. Equal access is important because everyone deserves equal opportunity.

Understanding the difference between an acceptable and unacceptable request is important.

I like that they included UD in this program as like it mentioned these can benefit everyone.

Schools should handle accommodations through proper documentation and support instead of assumptions.
