Hey Everyone,
There was so many things tolearn in the last module. Making sure to stay organized is most important.
Follow the policies and catalog. Ask questions if you are unsure of the process or how to answer questions by students and their family
It is important to keep a detailed list of what needs to be covered with the student. Make it simple and clear. Answer all questions.
The enrollement agreement is critical, make sure all information is clearly stated for both student and institution.
Trabajo en equipo y una buena preparacion es la clave.
It is our responsibility to speak to the financial responsibility including payments, scheduling, and refunds of each applicant. The collaborative efforts of my supervisor, admins, and financial team help make this a smooth process.
In this module, i learned the importance of ensuring all data entered or filled out must be accurate and transparent to the prospective student. No blank spaces are allowed in any paperwork relaying to the agreements and every institution has their way of organizing student files but uiltimately they all have similar end goals: to ensure all paperwork is accurate, comp0leted, and stored safetly and in an organized manner.
Thouroughly explain to each student what is required to enroll along with payment options.
That an enrollement agreement, if not signed, does not mean the applicant is a student until all documents have been completed.
Completing specific guidlines to follow when enrolling a student and what to do with that new folder once documents have been completed.
IN this module I learned that when having an appointment with a possible future student it is important to be prepared and to make sure the student is fully aware of the program requirements and that they can not enroll until all the requirements have been met. Also to make sure you are giving accurate information and not misleading students. I also learned that it is important to be knowledgeable about the INstitution as well as the catalog and the state requirements.
I learned that the informations has to printed off and put into the students folders and how important it is to keep the folders and all files organized.
No matte how familiar you become with the enrollment process, a checklist is the best way to ensure everything is complete.
The catalog and the enrollment agreement are the most important documents in the admission process, they must be reviewed frequently and in addition to collating the information in both. Any update made to one of them affects the other.
I've learned that I need to continue being prepared when conducting an interview and having interactions with a prospective student.
