It is really important to join a professional organisations, so that educators can stay up to date on new technologies and resources to promote innovative teaching and learning practices.

Comment on Diana Garfias's post: I was also surprised that we are able to join these organizations outside of our employers. I think it would also be beneficial to mention these conferences to higher ups as a growth opportunity. If the conference is local maybe a small group could attend together.

This is all new to me and will take awhile to learn and incorporate into the classroom.

One thing I learned from this module was the use of TeacherTube as an educational resource to support teaching and student learning. I also reflected on how I currently use Google tools, such as Google NotebookLM, to convert my PowerPoints into podcast-style reviews for students, which helps support different learning styles and allows students to review material more flexibly. I plan to continue exploring these types of technologies to make learning more engaging, accessible, and interactive for my students.

My key takeaway is that staying a lifelong learner is essential, particularly when it comes to adopting new technologies to create a more dynamic learning environment for my students

There are multiple sites. Some are free, some require a subscription. Many to explore to enhance my development of courses

There are multiple online training platforms to assist instructors but most have some sort of fee or subscription to access online intruction

There are a lot of unique methods of engagement that I never thought of using before. I will be looking more into what I can implement into my current lectures to have better student engagement.

I will join the OETC.

I am interested in attending an ISTE conference now.

Lots of acronyms, will check more info but lots of tech to be utilized in the classroom

I am grateful for the copyright information on what constitutes fair use. I will re-access these resources.

Purpose Games site is really good. This was a good module just to write down all the links.

I learned about the various avenues for communicating with students using technology, from social media to mainstream digital platforms

My biggest take away from this section is the importance of lifelong learning, and as an instructor the importance of incorporating a variety learning technologies into the classroom.

Much of this does not apply to my situation working in a prison school where internet access is not allowed but it was interesting. One thing I can say for sure, is that we need to be careful when using YouTube because of those pop-up ads.  I've had to scramble to shut it down because there was an inappropriate ad playing.

As professionals we can join organizations in order to network, learn new technologies and different resources available.

In this module, I learned about some new quiz and game generators such as Quiz Star and Wondershare.  Also, learned the information on fair use and copy right laws.

In this module, I learned about some new quiz and game generators such as Quiz Star and Wondershare.  I also learned about an online educator community called Teachertube.com.  I learned about fair use information and laws, which are important to know and understand when seeking content.  I intend to use and try the applications and possibly seek e-book alternatives.
