Great reminder of how important discipline is...even in adult classrooms. It was good to see what order to do things and seeing different examples of what to do in which situations. Again, it is nice to know what I am already doing is on tract for the best classroom learning environment and management.
This part of the course is really informative and useful - How to deal with disruptive behaviors and manage class in an effective way, therefore, students will be able to utilize classroom learning and time.
There are a variety of techniques to handle disciplinary issues. The individual student needs to be taken into account, and an assessment must be made as to how to most effectively correct the behavior issues.
One part of the class I do not agree with is any form of physical contact. Under no circumstance should an instructor be making physical contact with a student unless required by course material. tapping on shoulders while a student sleeps could easily be misinterpreted and should be avoided.
