As technoloby and resources, such as OER, become more widely available, the flipped classroom will become easier to implement and manage. While very popular today, whether it remains so into the future, and whether institutions will provide the needed space and resources for labs and collaborative work and whether student motivation remains high. Even if it does not become the standard of the future, it certainly will provide another very effective teaching strategy and flexibility for both students and instructors.

Start small, but remain consistent and make every effort to remove barriers. Simple communication with administrators, students' parents, and fellow teachers can be a great way to help resolve issues that may arise. 

Open educational resources continue to grow and provide teachers with resources and tools to enhance their flipped classrooms.

I think the flipped model may be the wave of future education, especially as CTE education and careers are on the rise. I'd like to test out some of the flipped techniques and see how students like the setup. Podcasts are definitely a medium I'd like to have students reflect on and discuss in class.

With certain types of life situations i think the Flipped Classroom model and online learning have definitley a huge future ahead, just think about our current pandemic.

For traditional instructors will be  not easy at the first time to adapt to flipping their classroom, they have to adapt and implement in a step by step small steps at the time fashion. Administrators as well need to give them appropriate time to prepare and adapt. Two things might be difficoult, first to develope appropriate short pre-recorded video lessons which supplement the full content and to transitioning from traditional lecturer to a facilitator role. This is not about the instructor providing a content and delivering a lesson, is more about to helping the students to be more engaged and be responsible about their own learning process, understanding the content, The priority of "covering content" is shifting into "Mastery the content" 

Being a Facilitator it's about in class sessions, giving students creative group collaboration activities , projects they can work on it together, teaching each other, peer reviews and these things require a Facilitator role. 

 

Transistioning to a flipped classroom takes a lot of relection and discussions of feedback for all involved. Learning to utilize the process to its fullest capacity and refining the way the instructor can deepen the content students absorb and how to implement it best while engaging them to their fullest commitments

Schools are sharing a significant amount of curricula, resources, and learning materials. There is a growing variety of open content from various organizations and schools, and in many parts of the world, 

Faculty as facilitator.

 

Both students and instructors must understand the positive values of the flipped classroom.  Instructors must the time to find the right material to use with the on line learning for the students. They must also act as the expert in the course in the classroom portion.  

 

I learned that with a flipped classroom, the students' role change from passive participants in the learning process where they are served by instructors to a role of active engagement.

 

Proper training and professional development are necessary in implementing an effective flipped classroom.

 

Flipped classroom is not the answer to all as it has some barriers like other pedagogical instructions.  

Professional development is a component in order to start implementing the Flipped method.  Instructors must be transformed first prior to the engaging to the method of teaching. 

Flipping a classroom (FC) is an innovative instructional strategy that is designed to engage students in a fleixble, blended learning environment with the purpose of enhancing the learning process. FC must be carefully planned and implemented and teachers involved must invest time in professional development. Some teachers who have never used any kind of technology or delivered blended instruction would naturally feel challenged with this new method of pedagoy; however, evide-based research has shown the engagement and collaborative nature of FC enables higher levels of learning in Bloom's Taxonomy markers with the engaged students. The students are given more control of their learning and the teacher is no longer the provider of information but rather a facilitator in the classroom and it becomes an expert guide. There should not be excuses used to prevent or procrastinate to adopt FC once committment to use this learning strategy is made; rather there should be a cause analysis study conducted to enure all stakeholder are well-equipped and trained and that tehcnology will suppor the learning. Teachers must prepare to adopt FC; they should not expect FC to transform them.Teachers will need to transform their teaching style by adopting FC and not the other way around. There are several emerging platforms to enable the pre-recorded lessons which should not be kept short (betwwen 5-15 mins max in length). There are always new and improved platforms  or tools being used. Some fo the ones discussed in the lesson are Melot, Khan Academy, TeacherTube, Digital Learning Commons, etc. The latest used platforms include Edpuzzle , Quizizz ,  Google Classroom , Padlet , and others.

 

Instructors do not need to flip the whole class at once can start in stages.

 

This will be a collaboration between instructors and the administration to be sucessful. Ialso understand that there must be motivation on the students part. Overall it sounds like a win win situation

  

An instructor must be fully committed when deciding to flip the classroom.
