Animated teaching style

I have found this to style to be such a great energy booster for not only the student but the instructor as well. We are challenged everyday and sometimes the energy level can be effected so this was a great compliment to my teaching style.

"The Crisis Game"

I found this to be very useful in a course Im actually teaching currently. I have been trying to figure out other creative ways to teach my class microphone theory. What are some ways in keeping the overall commitment from everyone in the groups of 5-6 people? There is nothing worse than coming up with a very create educational game and see some of the students not participating?

Cellphones

How can you make students focus more clearly when they are very distracted by their cellphones

Memorizing

Its very difficult to expect students to retain information with difficult topics. How can you teach a student to memorize over 200 drugs? How can we help students memorize?

Patience

Sometimes, there's a slight conflict between the younger aged students and the older adult learners in my class. It seems as though the younger students do not like the older students. And the adult learners resent the younger students. How do we deal with this?

Educational Games-How do we find a happy medium?

I find that being competitive is a great way to build a students confidence on the information given on that particular day. I find that I seem to loose my students when I just have notes and I explain sometimes. Games and competitive strategies are a great way to help the moral and confidence in the student. However, what about the student who isn't sure about him/her and doesn't perform well in the class "game"? How should we find a happy medium?

Dealing with jokes ....?

What are some of the best ways to make a foreign student feel more comfortable when they may not be able to pronounce a term correctly? I find that although students/peers think its comical its not conducive to my teaching environment.
