Great Course

I certainly learned a lot of things in this course. I was a bit skeptical at first but I realize now that it was worth it!

Much Needed

This training has a lot of useful information that will be used each and every day in admissions.  It flowed very well and really gave us a great opportunity to recap some critical things that we may have forgotten along the way.  Great training!

Great Training Course

Great course.  It was a great refresher....No matter how long some one is doing Admissions, it is always good to have a refresher.  You always want to make sure you are doing right by the student.

Very Useful

This training on the issue of compliance was very worthwhile. The trainings were very informative and quite easy to navigate. I am now more aware of what information is pertinent to me as I work with prospective students. Thank You

This was adequate

This training module was plenty adequate.  It had quite a bit of useful information.  I did not care for the required discussion forum postings though, as I found them quite useless.

A Lot of Info

While the course seemed to be a ton of information that would take forever, i found it to not only go quicly but be great information that applies daily and included a great deal of information I would not have known otherwise... THanks

We all can learn

I am a program director and believe we all have a part in admissions. This was very informative! I know I would never say something to hurt our school but it might have been by accident so now I know

You are never to Old to Learn

I have been in admissions for over a decade ,but I find the training a needed part of my career. I am not a believer that you do not need to keep updated on information just because you have been in a field for long time. The laws, rules, and regulations continue to change and we in Admissions must be kept updated as to do what is right for the student wanting to further their future education plans.

Admission

Even though i have been an agent/admissions rep for 18 years i learned some new techniques from this course. I thought it was a very good course.

Intense Training

Hello All.

I am grateful for my new job as an Admissions Representative. The training is intense, especially the mock interviews. I find the script hard to memorize; I guess the key is to make it your own. What has been some of your challenges as a new or seasoned Admissions Rep?

Thanks for listening.

Mike Kossak's Blog

As a newcomer to the job in college Admissions and/or Student Services, I found this online course extremely informative, well-written and user-friendly to people like me who are "technologically challenged" on various electronic gadgets. As an English teacher, writer, and editor, it was fascinating for me to see the legal 'backdrop' of precise information required by the FLDOE and the FIC in the composing and writing of the college's course catalog and its financial (and other) documents.

One question that I have from working this week with students who want to transferr credits into our institution concerns the 'age' of the courses being considered.… >>>

Great Training

I really enjoyed this training session, I learned a lot of information that I thought I already knew.  Very informative and I would recommend this to everyone who works in any type of higher education admissions department.

Very Informative

I found this training to be very important and informative especially since I'm kind of the new girl with adult education. I found that its important to have content relates with adult learners, whereas with the high school students it didn't really matter as long as the discussion was interesting. Adults focus on the "what's in it for me" aspect of learning, which I enjoy!

Good Training

Good training is a must. I always use the 5 P's Prior planning prevents piss poor performance :) This traing was very informative and I enjoyed it.

Amazing!

This course was awesome because I was able to manage my time and make it through in a reasonable amount of time. Great organization of materials!

I Enjoyed This Training Session:

I really enjoy this training session because it really reiterated how well we are staying up to par on training with our schools. Admission Representatives can only benefit from such training due to the in depth information on policy and procedures we cover. I think more training situations such as these should continue.

TRAINING WITHOUT EXPERIENCE

The only experience that I had prior taking this training, that it was "awsome," was thru my college education plus vocational training in the civilian , and military life. You go across the admission staff at college level they do  not provide you with all the information that is required according to your traning. At college level you need to see many staff; the counselor  look at your transcription to see if they are going to accept your credits. And sometimes at the end of the journal you realize that not all the information you gather from them were the correct… >>>

I loved this online course!

I loved the fact that I could go at my own pace.  That made learning more enjoyable.  Continuing educating ourselves on what we do is the best way to perform better at our job.  The forums were great too.  If I had questions...they usually got answered!

I took the admissions and compliance courses.  What did everyone else think about it?

Thanks!

Designed for Intelligent Thought

I have gone through several trainings in different areas in my employment history and this one was the most professional, concise and provided extremely valuable information.  The design of the quizzes makes is crucial to read each one carefully to avoid making an interpretive mistake.  I enjoyed the challenge of the questions and the content.  Thank you!

a lot of information

I did like how we could go at our own pace.  It was definitely a lot of information especially with all the daily changes we undergo.  I feel like over the last month all of the compliance, policies and procedures have changed.  But, this course did go over alot of information that people may have questioned before.
