Agreed.  Complaince is a key component in making sure the student is recieving the proper information as well as the employee is representing the school in the proper manner.

I've been at this for a several years now but this course really reminds you of what we do on a daily bases.  We need to make sure that we treat every student with respect, int

This is correct.  Prospective students must be provided accurate and updated information on every level as this will help them in the decision process.  Students trust that schools are presenting accurate information.  Enrolling in the right school is a big decision for students and they must be provided answers and disclosures prior to enrolling, not after.

That's a great question and I would recommend you conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.  Getting to know your prospective students is a must and they are going to share a lot of information with you.  When you ask them to tell you a little bit about themselves, some will tell you more and some less.  When they personally open up with their personal issue, I thank them for sharing that with me and then bring the focus back to the reasons why they are there today and I make sure I cover the program, school, etc...in… >>>

We should not finish a relationship with a prospecitve student because different people are ready to enroll into school at different times for whatever reason.  Treat all prospective students great and in a proffesional manner.  They will thank you for it and even send a few referals your way.  If they dont enroll into your program, ask them why as this feedback can be useful in your recruitment efforts.

I would strongly recommend you provide the student with the link to access their catalog.  Ask them to save the link and refer to it should they have a question.

Prior to enrolling the student, you should have their transcripts evalauted by the Dean of Academics.  That way you already have the transcripts in hand.  If the school has closed it will be the responsibility of the stduent to provide you with the transcripts or they will be scheduled for class.  I would recommend you assist the student by advising them to call the accredting body.

A students transcripts should be evaluated and translated prior to enrolling the student.  This will ensure that you and your school are compliant.

I agree with you Jimmy.  As an Admissions representative you should be familiar with your school and each department as propsective students are coming to you with questions and you should be prepared to answer them.

Admission representatives play a huge role in successfully enrolling a prospective student.  Prospective students have so many options nowadays, many of them dont really know what they want.  One minute they want to do one thing and the next minute it's something else.  It's important admission representatives take the time and not only listen but engage the prospective student in a meaningful conversation.  Once an admission rep has done their due diligence, the applicant should know exactly what to expect from A-Z and should be enrolling with the goal of graduating from their program of interest.
