The course gives me a chance to refresh my knoweledge base.  Having been in the industry for awhile, it's always good to refresh the knowledge and ensure that I am up-to-date as it applies to the rules, guidelines, and laws pertinent to this career and most importantly to the students. 

This course provided me with very useful information that I can use on an every day basis. I would recommend this to anyone in the admissions department as a resource tool.

I feel that this course was very helpful as I am trying to build my career as an admissions agent. I am still new and learning but I think that this had a huge impact on my knowledge thus far. I am using this is accordance with the training that my school provides and the two combined are teaching me a lot and preparing me for success! Every day we come in contact with someone looking to fuchange their career. Providing the correct information and matching the potential student with the best career option can be challenging. As an ADA we listen to the potential students story and create a plan that will provide a positive outlook on their future. Depending on the studends wants and needs, this process can be difficult at times. Staying in compliance provides the opprotunity for the ADA to think critically on other ways to assist the potential and current student.

When choosing a college for themselves, adults have several motivating factors.

Location - close proximity to work or home

Time Commitment - multiple priorities to juggle

Cost - many financial commitments

Just because an adult completes the application procees and is accepted, does not mean he or she will actually start. U    

Student success after college is essential to the success of the institution and teachers. It has been an ill feeling for me when a student does not have the GPA to attend college. This course discussed how only enrolling students who are fit to complete a particular program is key; these students are more than likely to finish school and pursue careers and pay back their student loans. Default managment is very important and students need be educated on how to prevent going into default, as it effects not only them but the institution they graduated from.

This course has taught me the proper ways to be ethical within the state, organization, and position. I am confident in my position and know the proper procedures and contacts to uphold in a given situation. I am satisfied with this course.

The CM102 Course has taught me so much about correct ways to conduct business.
Ethical practices not only help you in the work force or school settings but in
your social life as well. In any type of relationship or communication people
expect most of the common ethical practices like: Responsibility, Fair
Treatment, Accountability, Good Moral Character, and Honest Communication

Don't be the person to give your school, the industry, or post secondary education a bad name by lying to people interested in bettering their lives through education. This is their dream. Make sure you are guiding them through the process in an ethical manner with their needs in mind...not yours.

Don't make yourself and your employer look like an unethical problem. I know that I'll be applying these teachings to my everyday responsibilities as a High School Coordinator/Admissions Rep. There are way too many reps and schools out there that are committing unethical errors and giving good "for-profit-schools" a bad name. WHO'S WITH ME?????

I took this course to help with understanding the "right ", from the "wrong" when dealing with future students and the overall job that i have to do. this is great in helping you look at things from all angles and performing tasks in the right way.

At Biztech Career Centers we have approached career placement by teaching graduates how to job search. How to adapt resumes to jobs. How to conduct themselves in an interview. It is important for us to help our students get placed, but my logic is we have to teach the student to fend for themselves.

Teaching job seach skills is just as crucial as career training.

We are all measured on placement, so it makes as much sense to spend quality time teaching job search skills alongside career foundations training.
