It's important to experience what it will be like for a student so you can help paint a picture for them.

Learn from each department to gain better understanding of the institution and its practices, marketing and advertising can differ amongst institution but shares a common goal.

Marketing is component of admissions and each institution may have their own marking system.

It's important to learn how things are before just repeating what others have said, or even getting information from the students as well about their experience in courses. I should also learn about the courses first hand and be open to seeing how my organization is advertising as well as making sure those ads abide by correct regulations.

I learned that it's good to talk the people in each department and your instructors for the documents that list your program.

It is important to know what resources are available to students, as well as a thorough knowledge of the courses. Admissions needs to be able to speak to the program as a whole, including these things.

I have learned that it is important to know what services are offered to students to assist in their success. It is also good to speak to employees who work in these areas to have a better understanding of what is available and how it can be helpful.

Each institution does have some autonomy as far as marketing, as long as it meets the requirement and regulations. As an admissions coordinator, it is my job to become familiar with all types of marketing put out by my institution and make sure to pitch our highlights when meeting prospective students.

My role as the Administrator embraces the responsibility to oversee admissions as well as implement policies and procedures, and enforce operational compliance. Therefore, I am very aware of the content in the school catalog and enrollment agreements, as I am the one who maintains these areas. This makes it natural for me to have knowledge and information regarding all facets of the school and the programs it offers.

I learn that marketing has many ways of exploration.

Marketing has many faces and wears many hats. It does not always have to be one way.

In this section we learned how important is it to learn all the different opportunities that your campus has to offer, this arms you with all the positive information needed to share with your prospective students. I intend to learn all I can that my campus has to offer.

I'm realizing how essential it is to have a well-rounded understanding of the institution—from student services and academics to orientation, housing, graduation, and alumni support. Being knowledgeable in these areas allows us to better guide prospective students and answer questions with confidence. It’s equally important to understand how the institution is being marketed and to stay informed about advertising regulations. Fair Consumer Practices serve as a safeguard to ensure that all promotional materials are honest and accurate, helping prevent misleading claims such as guaranteed employment or inflated salary expectations. As representatives of the institution, it's our responsibility to uphold these standards and provide clear, truthful information.

To fully understand available resources we can better assist our students.

Student Services prepares the students to be successful and provides assistance to students.

I am learning the importance of knowing the ins and outs of your institution, including student services.  From Orientations, academics, housing to graduation and alumni information, strengthening your knowledge and staying informed in all of these areas is important.  It is also key to stay informed in how we are marketing, learn the rules about advertising and upholding Fair Consumer Practices.

Student services are often as important as the educational programs, with them preparing the student for success while attending their courses and provide assistance through-out their student experience.

It is critical to learn as much as possible about the school and what it has to offer. This ranges from the specifics of the programs and classes it offers to student services, such as academic assistance, housing, orientation, etc.

I learned Marketing can be different at each institutions but must follow Fair Consumer practices.
