Dynamic Instructional Design | Origin: EL107

This is a general discussion forum for the following learning topic:

Designing Dynamic and Technology-Rich Learning Environments --> Dynamic Instructional Design

Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.

Dynamic learning uses multiple tools other than teacher to student lecture model. Instructor or teachers can use different media to create a interactive learning environment for their students.

I learned that many different styles of methods to use to keep the classroom engaged. Good to always learn the dynamics of teaching and be able to adapt to different ways students retain information.

Dynamic instruction is of benefit when used in conjunction instead of as a replacement

I really enjoyed learning about the different types of learning scaffolds and the information on how its important to be flexible on different online resources that can accommodate different learning styles.

dynamic learning is a useful tactic for incorporating classroom activities.

From this module, I learned that technology should be used to support and enhance learning, not replace the teacher. The idea of computer mediation and dynamic learning stood out, especially how technology can increase interaction between students, instructors, and content. I also learned the value of blended learning and the importance of scaffolding to support student success.

I plan to apply this by using technology more intentionally to promote engagement and collaboration, while making sure it is meaningful and not just added work. I also want to focus more on student-centered learning and creating opportunities for students to take ownership of their learning.

Dynamic learning environments utilizing technology needs to incorporate many learning modalities and offer differing types of ways of expressing learning. Creating lessons that encourage students to utilize personal experiences along with providing ways for students to access content in various forms can give students the differentiation often needed for learning.

Students equate flexibility with ease.  You must address this fallacy for them to be successful in other than f2f classes.

The diagram was really helpful. I will use it in practice.

In this module I learned that students will lean more toward seeking assistance from a face-to-face classroom versus in an online environment. While there are may types of learners in an online environment, it is imperative that the instructor communicate with them in at timely fashion so the learning process isn't discouraged.

Dynamic learning is a useful tactic when it comes to approaching a modern teaching style that is so consumed by technology.

I learned that Content can be provided through hyperlinks to text, multimedia resources, online discussions, chats, personal blogs, wikis, etc. And this process, content is worked on and applied by the learner.

I learned about scaffolding and how to use it in the learning environment.

I learned about the concept of scaffolding. I also find that there are many ways to introduce content to students that makes it meaningful to them. However, this also means that the instructor has to have technological skills in being able to provide these various resources to them.

I have found that providing different ways to learn the same information, has helped many students, especially when they are preparing for an exam.

I have learned a few new things and become aware that I am already doing a lot of scaffolding already. I think I could benefit from using hyperlinks and creating content that allows students the opportunity to self-author.

To enhance your teaching ability and to reach as many students as possible you must learn and become efficient using all the technology available for learning.

What are scaffolds and how students benefit? A course of study progressing in an ongoing dynamic process of learning relies on a variety of inputs, learning supports (scaffolds), and interaction. Each of these aspects of the dynamic process cannot exist without the others; however, together, they maximize the students’ potential for reaching a high level of learner autonomy through self-directed choices and customized application or outcome.

I enjoyed the resources on universal design and how they were included as refrence material
