As an admissions representative it is vital to stay updated with the latest information to remain compliant in all facets of the position.
This will be my first step into the Admissions role for which I am looking forward to. I have already learned that there are rules and regulations that I will be sure to keep myself aware of, along with terms and definitions, so that I may serve students and or staff to the very best of my abilities.
I've learned that it is important to be compliant in communicating with students and to remain updated on all admissions procedures and policies.

I have learned the different titles that are allowed and not allowed as a new Admissions Representative; how extremely important it is to be in regular communication with the your direct Supervisor and how helpful institutional manuals charts can be for general admission questions; why transfer credits have to be clearly stated during the admissions process; and how consultation skills can be beneficial for the admission process....listen more then answer and if unsure seek help

I have learned the importance of making a reference notebook and keeping it up to date. I learned it is not only my managers responsibility to make sure I am up to date on information. it falls on me. So I will be sure to keep things up to date and check state regulations on a regular basis.
Florida has specific requirements understanding FL statues when helping FL students pursue higher education. In taking this course we become agents/experts to follow FL guidelines when attending our institution.
I received good information from this module. I will continue to keep everything in mind when representing the school with integrity and compliance.
Although I been in the post-secondary industry for nearly 21 years, I pick up something new every year completing this training.
I appreciate the reminder of not only being familiar with FL Statutes but also the FL Admin Code Commission Rules. I made sure to save a copy.
