Tomorrow's Learning Environment Today --> Innovation in Postsecondary Education

Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.

This module provided a good review of the importance of learning styles when developing lessons.  I appreciate the attention to the fact that traditional methods are not always the most efficient.  I intend to continue to be careful and deliberate in my thought process when I develop lessons so that I am sure to include a variety of delivery options to meet the needs of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners.  This can include a presentation with words and visuals and a partner or group activity that gets the students moving.

One key takeaway from this module is the imperative to diversify and personalize the learning experience. Recognizing that each student has a distinct learning approach, we, as educators, must leverage the various tools at our disposal to create an empowering knowledge environment for our learners.

I like that this module talks about providing choice for adult learners. We always have multiple activities available so we can choose which will be most effective given what the students feel like doing and the mood of the classroom.

Innovation comes from taking a chance on something new in strategies in the delivery of information. The goal is to increase better understanding and improve student academic outcomes, while addressing real problems to promote equitable learning.

Learning comes in different styles, techniques and options where the instructor and the students can experience growth.

It can be challenging to meet the learning styles of all students when your classroom is widely diverse. For example, when you have 2 or 3 students who haven't yet mastered the English language, generational differences, and poor technology skills.

Engaged and active learning activities are so important for true learning.

Good review of basics.

Varying our teaching style will allow all students to learn on their level.

In fast paced program like ours, with a decent number of students per class, the main hurdle is time. As much as I want to gear my instruction to each individual learning style, I wish there were a faster way to do so

Students learn in different ways , teachers need to approach students in variety of teaching strategies.  In clinical, it is important to actually perform ( hands on ) to translate theory learning  to  actual performance of skills/ procedure.

It is imperative to utilize all the various learning styles, while teaching: including kinetic, visual, and auditory.

Learning thru tactile is the best.  Solidifies the data with real world, hands on experience.

I already apply Python to complement any type of learning. Also I use demos from apps in the web. Currently I am encouraging my students to use ChatGPT and encourage to tell me how the experience of cognitive chatting helped them to learn or what leaks they discover in the chat.

The students have different ways of learning and we should be able to adapt to that learning style.

We should adapt and compare to their learning style to make it easier for them to  learn

you are able to adapt to various learning styles is crucial to student success.  Incorporating various learning techniques makes learning fun and retainment achievable. I have found it difficult to  various methods during this school year.

It is important to understand the way your student learn.

Understanding different learning styles and adapting your teaching style to meet students needs is a must. I have implemented different learning activities with real life situations. My students really enjoy this.

Knowing your students as to the learning style.
