high school diploma

My institution requires high school graduation..ie diploma as a requisite for admission. We are encounting hard time with all kinds of diploma mills we have been receiving. Most of the students doesnt have any idea that they are paying for a diploma mills until they present it to an institution. Sometines is very hard to validate them, there is no list or database for private high school validation/accreditations as for a college or universities.

Discussing Enrollment Agreement

I have had issues in the past with students that have read and signed the contracts but still dont understand financial responsibility if they stop paying. I understand that as a student its hard to agree to pay something for a period of time when sometimes you may not make enough money. How can I assure students about this situation and what would be a legal advise I can give them if the do not abide by the contract?

Some of the most effective ways to attract prospective students to your institution is to understand the reasons as to why they should attend. These reasons may be your institution offers one or more programs in which they are interested. These may include or offer educational programs on a variety of levels such as bachelors and associates, occupational associate degrees, diploma programs, certificate programs, continuing education, test preparation courses, and avocational courses. By combining all of these factors the delivery method may be more effective and successful in enrolling a quality student.

Understanding School Catalogue

One of the most basic responsibilities of a successful Admission Representative is to understand where to locate important information about the school's catalogue. The following items must be found: a. Purpose of the institution: This provides information about why the institution was set up. b. Education programs and curriculum: Programs and course descriptions. c. Description of physical facilities: Square footage, description of classrooms, labs, offices, learning resource center, and other building information. d. Licensure and accreditation status: Full details of the Commission contact information, license number, and information about the accrediting board, if accredited. e. Fee schedule: Tuition and all other costs of going to the institution. f. Transferability of credits: Statement about transfer of credit to and from the institution. g. Admissions: Requirements to enter each program. h. Student financial assistance: The type of funds available to qualified students and terms of this assistance. i. Student refund policies: Guidelines in line with Commission policies and guidelines of other applicable regulatory bodies. j. Employment placement services: How the institution assists students to get a job. k. Additional information: Statement addressing how to get additional information about your institution from the Commission. (7) Reduction in tuition or fees: Terms of reductions.
