Life Experience used as Credit

I have worked at an institution where the responsibility of administering credit for life experience was that of the admissions counselor because it was looked at as transfer credit. Now that was more than 10 years ago when the concept was fairly new, has their be a standard measure in which to apply life experience?

What is the best way to handle a potential student inquiry regarding a program that they saw on a commercial that is not offered? For example some commercials may run in a region and a school may not offer a certain course that is being marketed.

Placement Exam

Our institution does not require an admissions test to all students, but does require that students take a Mathematics Placement Exam to ensure that they are on the correct level and do not need remedial math to bring them up to par. Would this be considered an admissions exam which must completed as part of the admissions process?

Once a student graduates it is his/her responsibility to actively seek a career. Do you think some students believe it is solely up to the career services department to help with resumes and job placement? If so, does this reflect badly on the institution if a job is not found?
