Resource Notebook

I am very new to this line of work and find that the resouce notebook is extremely useful. In my resource notebook I have the Enrollment Agreement, my terms, my institutions most recent catalog, my institutions information about accreditation and frequently asked questions and answers about my institutions program(s). I have the Florida Statues, Rules and Title IV information in a separate notebook. I can already tell that this will be my most widely used tool at work.

Hello everyone, I understand that anyone who has contact with a prospective student needs to be certified in this admissions course. What if their only job is to be a receptionist but because of their accessibility to the waiting area they interact with prospective students. While the prospective student waits to meet with directors or admissions staff they ask the receptionist basic brochure questions. Does the receptionist need to take this certification? Liu Necuze

Rolling Admissions vs. Application Deadlines

I have worked in Universities with both a set application deadline and with rolling admissions, so no set deadline. There are obviously advantages and disadvantages to both. I was wondering if others had any input on best practices for both options? I have found that Rolling Admissions can be a little more chaotic throughout the year, while having a set application deadline means that things are busy during a window of time, but makes the rest of the year easier due to the ebb and flow.
