Ready to Quit

I value the suggestions for interacting with a "ready to quit student." I try to encourage students across the board, but as I see students lack motivation or have complancency to do average or below average work, I hope to avoid dismissing the chance to reverse this.

Coping

You must identify your stress factors and eliminate them. Placing goals in order and facing what is needed to maintain a smooth working environment should be a coping mechanism as well.

Stress is a contributing factor to some chronic health issue. Maintaining stress or have the lowest amount is the best for all.

Procrastination a habit

Procrastination is a habit but with focused goals and a constant change in behavior it could be changed for the best.

Repeating Mistakes

“A strategy for avoiding repeating some of the above mistakes is to make notes about how a lecture, demonstration, or activity worked for you.” I think it would be helpful for new instructors to know that a lecture that bombs in one class might get a standing ovation in another. Don't just throw out a lesson plan because it didn't go so well with one class. Try it out on a couple.

Long time needed when I have big class. I try to learn from experienced instructors.

IT is very good course because sometimes I have immediacy obstacle and I want t finish all day work within short time, this is not good for efficiency.

people tend to overestimate the amount of stress they can handle. It is important to understand what you can and can't handle.

If there is an employee that always messes something up and has been coached numerous times...why do they still work there?

Do you use online activities for not just streamlining your efficiency for tasks but to offer a different delivery method of material?

A lot can be said with doing tasks immediatly. If you have the time to do something immediatly, given your ability to reprioritize actively, wouldn't benefit those involved to complete the task?

All your sstudents will not always like you but if the classroom is manged well and in order,the students will respect you

Managing cheating students

A good way to stop cheating in the classroom is by separating the students in the class.

Center Stage Student

This student is very captivating and usually very knowleable. It is in the teachers best interest to be able to use this personality type to be able to bring the classroom closer together. Should this student be your right hand person they will feel that being the observer is equally an important role to be recognized in class therefore this situation will work GREAT!!!

Late assignments

Students should be responsible for a time line in being expected to turn the assignment by the time required. The real world has no excuses for TARDIES!

discipline regarding adult student

Good management of a classroon contributes to a well interested group of students., which feel their learning enviorment is a good fit to be able to gain the knowledge of the subject without unneeded distractions. Using the "I" word helps to diffuse any type of resentment the student may have when addressed. It is important as an educator to show your respect for the student.
