I have found that the key for a good course is simplicity paired with clear and defined learning objectives. Skill specific content is very important as well, however if the class is simply designed and clear about objectives, the content could be interchanged. Has anyone experienced developing courses outside of your specific skill set?
In my online class lecture, I've found a few techniques to engage students in discussion. It can be easy for a student to just log in and look like they are attending the chat without actually engaging the chat. So, I always acknowledge students and greet them by saying their name when they enter the class. I also make sure to call on individuals to answer questions, rather than asking a question to everyone. This controls the responses as well as engages the student at an individual level.

Evaluation is a constant. Yes it is important to adjust when necessary. How do you mitigate adjustment without over-doing the fine tuning of a class?

I'm relatively new to online instruction. I don't really get a whole lot of questions etc...from office hours. Is this normal or are there times in the day that you've found to get responses and questions.

In the ever increasing online socializing, I find that engagement is dependent on the information and discussion. Delivering information in an entertaining way and stimulating conversation rests with the instructor. The instructor must make sure that they are reaching out to the students to keep them engaged.
I've found that online delivery is a great way do provide education. As a new online instructor, what types of different media do you use and how do you account for the time it may take to show the media? Thank you for your responses.
people tend to overestimate the amount of stress they can handle. It is important to understand what you can and can't handle.
If there is an employee that always messes something up and has been coached numerous times...why do they still work there?

Do you use online activities for not just streamlining your efficiency for tasks but to offer a different delivery method of material?
A lot can be said with doing tasks immediatly. If you have the time to do something immediatly, given your ability to reprioritize actively, wouldn't benefit those involved to complete the task?
