ed 101

I enjoyed the course. very helpful

ED 109

EXCELLENT COURSE, IS VERY HELPFUL TO MY CLASS

ED 104

This was a great course! I wish I ahd taken this when I first began teaching. I learned quite a bit how to manage the different personality that I encounter with each new class.

ED112

I just finished ED 112 and enjoyed it thourghly!!  It had some great information in it, ideas that i haven't though of on raising adult learners sense of security and autonomy in class.  I'm going to try one idea of using quizzes to help the students study for their exams and "gently encourage" the chronically tardy students to come to class on time!  These educational courses are very helpful for a relatively new instructor such as myself.  Mindy smith

Class Room Retention

I really enjoyed the class and its suggestions on  how to maintain classroom retention and I will utilize some of the suggestions I learned in the course

Harvard Rocks!

I very much enjoyed the insights gained when viewing the videos from the Harvard School of Business. These professors showcased what it means to deliver dynamic lectures!

ED 107

I found the class interesting enough.  It provides a good background on why including technology is important.  I am already including some of the strategies in my classes.  It is good to have more information on assessments and portfolios.  I have never been a fan of group work, but this course provides why it is helpful for students to know how to work on projects together

A New Way Of Thinking

You are nevr to old to learn or to smart where you can't use new information. Each class that is give to you allows  your  brain cell to begin to re energize those creative juices in you mind.

Bill Gates on Taking Online Classes [VIDEO]

No, Gates isn't working on his bachelor's degree, but, he tells CNET's Ina Fried, he is an avid viewer of online classes from MIT and elsewhere. Such classes have the potential to transform higher education, he says.

Enhancing Students Professional Skills

Unfortunately I did not gain much knowledge through this course. I understand that students needs to improve their soft skills, critical thinking skills and computer literacy but I was hoping to gain some stratigies to do so in the classroom. What can any Instructor do no matter the course, technical or lecture based, that can help us teach students theses skills? We currently have a Career Development class which students take in their first term but this course is being eliminated. How do we incorporate the important message or information in our other courses so that we can ensure better… >>>

Teaching 6-8th graders

I am in the midst of teaching rising 6th-8th graders health- joints, muscles and bones.  Interestingly all of the board games that I have made for them (at a middle school teachers suggestion) fell on deaf ears. Most of them refused to play them  Actually the rising 7th and 8th graders refused but the younger kids loved them.

Adult Learners

I thought this course was informative as far as motivating adult learners.  I personally haven't been a student in a while so it was good information to think about for my classroom lessons.

Remembering What Its Like To Be The Student

I graduated from college 15 years ago, which makes it a little difficult to really put myself in my student's shoes. Until I took this course, I had almost forgotten how intimidating college can be. I recall having professors who were unapproachable, and it was very stressful.

ED102

I found the course to be informative.

Strategies in the classroom

ED 105 proved very informational for me, with concepts I can apply in my classes that will help improve classroom management and ensure student success.

Edu 113

I just completed Edu 113 Managing the Adult classroom and it was very revealing to me. I identified myself as more than one kind of instructor. This will definitely help me as a classroom instructor.

Intresting

I found the course intresting.

Generations in Education

I have been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years now, and through that course of time I have also taught adult education within many universities and colleges. In developing leadership training, I have found a huge difference between the generations in management styles and the management of team members from varying generations. Now with a 5th generation about to enter and some that already have entered the work force/higher education, I have also seen the returning adult into education and the generational difference in the usage of technology. I would like to gain others opinions on their views… >>>

New Facilitating Techniques
