A very informative course

This course (ed103) I found to be the most informative of the three courses that I took. I have always known of the different learning methods but this course really cleared any confusion that I might have had. Highly recommend.

Developing Intellectually Sound E-Learning Activities

One of my favorite areas of study is the development of e-learning activities.  These activities engae the learner and supports the learning outcomes.  Out of all the courses that I have taken in the faculty devevelopment series, I scored the highest on these.

In my current role as a Learning and Performance Consultant I am constantly looking for ways to improve the learner's performance and retention of knowledge gained.

The course I took on e-learning solidified my desire to dive deeper into this area.   Also, the field of Gamification ties in nicely with e-learners.  Learners want to be… >>>

learning

I really enjoyed this course about the different learning styles of Allied Health students.  It was entertaining and kept my attention.  The titles given to each leaning style will help me to remember how to address the learning styles of my students in the future.3

Completed 103 and I'm glad I enrolled...

I always go into these "professional sessions" with a bit of doubt  that I will walk away with anything truly useful.  Often, you have to sit for a while and sift through hours of good intentions before you find something of value that you can use.  And while that sounds negative in nature, it's generally acurate.  (And that's not to say that I know everything - I don't!)  Rather, it's an inditement on how many poorly constructed tutorials there are out there.   ....HOWEVER, I truly found this course to be helpful.  Much of the material I have aquired prior… >>>

Soft Skills Et al...

Hi Colleagues:

I enjoyed the course "ED115 - Soft Skills for Instructors" as not only confirming some elements of instructing I knew intuitively but also showing me some additional ideas and elements one forgets about in the process of teaching sometimes.  Keeping a good sense of how would appears to students in terms of ease even in "choice moments" of tension allows one to keep control in the classroom as well show mastery and confidence of the material being presented.  I recommend this course highly.
