I have been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years now, and through that course of time I have also taught adult education within many universities and colleges. In developing leadership training, I have found a huge difference between the generations in management styles and the management of team members from varying generations. Now with a 5th generation about to enter and some that already have entered the work force/higher education, I have also seen the returning adult into education and the generational difference in the usage of technology. I would like to gain others opinions on their views… >>>

I totally agree. I want the best of the best but with the generation coming up, I think a hard stance needs to be made in the recruitment and selection to observe the difference in learning styles, and having faculty and leadership conform for once, and not take it out on the learner!

A great resource for training and additional information to get better within training and design.

I currently teach a Cost Controls in foodservice class, and one of the things we discuss are portion sizes. So when is enough, enough? Do we have to have a hamburger that can't be consumed by more than 100 people? Shouldn't we have maybe donated all that food and made a positive impact through generosity instead of a spectacle?

Done with my first class and got a perfect score!!! Thank God after all these years I can still learn something......
