I was able to learn that there must be a clearly written policy about the transfer of credits into our intuition. Not all credits may be transferable.

We must abide by the rules and regulations of the Admissions Compliance for Postsecondary Schools in Florida.

Training is very important as an admissions representative in order to provide the right information to our applicants.

Admissions Training

This was a great training. I was able to understand more of the rules and regulations so that I can best support my institution and our students better. This information was insightful and enlightening. 

The best practices, and action plans I can put into practice

I feel it's really important to practice staying updated with all the policies and procedures of the institution. My action plan is putting together a notebook with all important procedures and changes regularly. This will only make me more effective at my job. As an Admissions representative my job is not to embellish, but to inform and educate potential student so they can intelligently make an informed decision. I must disclose all important information even if they don't ask or understand the procedures to the enrollment process including Funding options.

My Learning Experience with the CM221 MaxKnowledge Course

Dear reader,

I learned about policies that are enforced to protect and support students and institutions. I plan to apply what I have learned and maintain a notebook of resources I can rely on for accurate information. Thankfully, I found much of the information intuitive as being honest and doing the right thing seem to be the foundation of the transparency sought by accreditors and students. Something I found challenging was not only the amount of information, but the reading level in which the laws are written and also the nature of policy updates helps put things in perspective. Wisdom, Best Practices, Action Plans, Successes, and Challenges in Teaching

Having a clear communication about course objectives, assignments, and assessment criteria is crucial for student success. I always make sure to clearly explain the syllabus, deadlines, grading rubrics, and expectations from the beginning of the course. I also encourage students to ask questions and seek clarification when needed. Open communication reduces anxiety and helps students stay on track.
