Wisdom, Best Practices, Action Plans, Successes, and Challenges in Teaching

Having a clear communication about course objectives, assignments, and assessment criteria is crucial for student success. I always make sure to clearly explain the syllabus, deadlines, grading rubrics, and expectations from the beginning of the course. I also encourage students to ask questions and seek clarification when needed. Open communication reduces anxiety and helps students stay on track.

One of my goals is to provide personalized support to each student. To do this, I plan to schedule regular one-on-one check-ins with students who may need extra help, whether academically or with navigating the course materials. By incorporating interactive learning activities and encouraging discussions, I've seen an increase in student engagement. Students are more enthusiastic about the material and are actively participating in class discussions.

Every student learns at a different pace, and some students require more time or different methods to grasp certain concepts. One challenge I’m working to overcome is ensuring that all students are given adequate time and support without falling behind.
