Communication is argueably one of the most important things to be aware of when working in customer service

Structure is the key for success.

I find that as I am maneuvering through the course, it is a continual learning experience and I am rather enjoying the effort. My primary goal is to keep the students engaged while assuring that they learn the content of the course in order to retain the information. 

To have very strong knowledge of the information you are teaching and engage the students during live lectures.

I have learned that in this e-learning structure, it is important to read and reivew all the material before hand and take your time with the material. Even though the material is all in front of you, slowing going through each lesson step by step and retaining the inforamtion will benefit you at the end.

First understand what is available and make sure that students can navigate the contents

Whether online or oncampus, the goal is imparting knowledge to students that is easy to understand and stimulates learning

I learned that it is important for the instuctor to be familiar with the CMS in order to best serve the students.

is as important to make sure the student's equipment is up to date and will comply with needs of each program as delivering the course materials itself

Describing the objectives and the agenda of the course is always helpful to build up a good relation with the students and to encourage their participation and engagement by providing them positive constructive feedback in a time frame to manage proper communication to achieve short term goals.

I have learned that in an online environment, it is important to have structure.  This is important for both students and the instructor. I learned that there is a specific way to structure the information in your course for effective learning.

 

  • Generate a summary of each discussion forum.

Organizing the course materials into modules and lessons is very important

 

I learned to pay attention to my voice, my words and my body language.  preparation is key in any kind of interaction, tieing everything together for premium presentation.
