I have learned to lead by example and to always stay professional
I have learned that being a model instructor for my students and showing professionalism makes a big difference in their learning.
Learning that I have the ability to show my enthusiasm and passion for the subject I teach is the right thing to do and I intend to allow my students to see this
Continue to motivate students, serve as a model, and consistently demonstrating professionalism.
Be a positive role model for my students and lead by example consistently.
How to be more organized and prepared so the students get more out of the program.
Encourage students to push themselves by consistently modeling hard work, professionalism, and a growth mindset.
I INTENT TO BE A GOOD ROW MODEL FOR MY STUDENTS. I THINK ENCOURAGEMENT AND GIVE HIGHE SELF STEEM WOULD MOTIVATE THEM TO DO BETTER AND WORK HARDER.
Comment on Kimberly Morris's post: I INTENT TO BE A DOOD ROW MODEL FOR MY STUDENT.
Even as the instructor in the room, we are not necessarily the smartest person in the room. Motivate by being an example.
This training was beneficial. Going forward I will focus more on the modeling aspect. I want the students to see the outcome from more professional examples and the longevity of the changes.
I plan to model professionalism through appropriate language and dressing business casual to reflect the dress they will likely encounter in their own careers. Modeling that will also begin the class with a tone of mutual respect. I have also learned in this section to be well prepared, but be open to discussion and present a positive attitude regarding the topic to keep the students engaged.
I intend to model professionalism by looking the role, being sure of my comfort with the content and how I present myself. This keeps the student's engaged in the classroom and ready to learn.
I have learned that modeling professionalism is just as important as getting through the information in the course. I plan on incorporating this information into my teaching style by watching my language (I can get casual when I become comfortable) and making sure I am clean and dressed appropriately.
I grow as a professional by directly asking students for suggestions on how to make the class even more interactive and engaging. I continue to evolve as a profession by taking in feedback from students and also observing colleagues teach and assimilating some of their strategies.
Iv'e learned three key areas to refine in my roles as a model, manager and motivator. Iv'e gained a deeper understanding of the components of modeling - including appearance , language , and conduct, time management , leadership and confidence. Iv'e also learned the importance of developing my instructional style.
I've learned to be present and to become a motivator within the student-instructor dynamic.
Development of personal professional development plan is important to my career, but also to my current "new" role as faculty. This plan will allow me to realize strengths and weaknesses, and give me the opportunity to improve upon both.
Pursue ongoing learning to enhance my competence and effectiveness as an instructor. While developing lesson plans that educate, motivate, and cultivate a deeper understanding in students.
I've learned that to teach also means to lead with example. I should be the embodiment of professionalism, starting with the way I dress, speak and manners. Being prepared for the course is critical for success.
