The importance of preparation cannot be emphasized enough!

Having a teaching plan for what to accomplish during each meeting is important.  Setting goals, and objectives, learning activities and other materials are necessary.  Having a clear syllabus about the design of the course and an outline of expectations of students for completing the course activities are necessary.

A good understanding of the textbook layout and whether the content is presented in a logical and clear manner.

An appropriate teaching environment for the type of material being taught.

Prepare early and mindfully to make your presentation easily understood.
