Effective instruction comes from skills, knowledge, professionalism, and growth. Instructors must know content, use tools well, adapt teaching, communicate clearly, stay organized and keep learning. 

I learned how to set the stage for the classroom and expectations of myself and the students. Also how to engage and also hold boundaries with students as the professional role in their lives.

Learning, not teaching, should be the goal. If your current teaching style isn't promoting learning in your classroom, then it's time to adjust your method. Know your subject well and be enthusiastic about it. If you lack passion for your subject, how can students be motivated to engage? Building "friendships" with your students is helpful, but avoid crossing the line into being their "pal." Friends support and encourage each other, especially during struggles. It's important to be a source of motivation and encouragement for your students. Lastly, professional development can remind you and encourage you to stay up-to-date with the latest strategies and methods to use with your students.

The module introduced multiple approaches to teaching styles that I had not considered, which not only helped me build a stronger sense of how I should conduct myself, but also prompted me to evaluate what my strengths and weaknesses are, and how to improve my skills.

I learned many things like how successful the students are will be an immediate reflection on the performance of the instructor. Also, it really highlighted just how important it is as an instructor to be prepared, know your material, and have a plan.

I have learned that preparation, switching teaching methods, standing on company values and SOP, and facilitating students education are great approaches to becoming an effective instructor.
