I am learning that i need to be informant, professional and compassi0nate about teaching and creating a wonderful nurses for our society.

I learn to be knowledgeable, compassionate , understanding capacity of each students, and the best way they can benefit me.

I learned that being instructor encompasses being a model, manager, and motivator. Show engagement by giving being prepared to start your day, giving feedback, and show others that there are ways to improve.

That there are three roles you represent as you stand in front of a class as an instructor: Model, Manager, Motivator.  One interesting point I learned from the Harvard Instructor, he stated, "do not show your students how competent you are, do not try to prove to your students that you are the smartest in the class, you will lose them. Convince your students that you love your subject matter, that you care."  It is a given that you are the most competent in the class for your subject matter, however, there will always be someone smarter than you in the class.  Instead, convince them to learn, encourage & motivate, that's how you keep the students in the loop.  I thought that was quite interesting.

From this module, I’ve learned that becoming an effective instructor requires continuous growth, reflection, and adaptability. Developing as an instructor means not only understanding the material but also learning how to connect with different learners and adjust teaching methods to meet their needs. I plan to apply this by regularly evaluating my lessons, seeking feedback from students and peers, and incorporating new strategies that promote engagement and understanding.

I have learned that being a good instructor is more than your knowledge  but multiple different aspects that help define your effect on students.

From this module, I’ve learned how intentional instructional improvement plays a critical role in advancing both teaching effectiveness and learner outcomes. The emphasis on reflective practice, continuous learning, and structured professional development helped me see that great educators don’t just rely on experience; they actively refine their approach through evidence-based strategies and ongoing education.

Through this module, I've learned that effective instruction goes far beyond delivering content; it's about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking. I now understand the importance of tailoring teaching strategies to diverse learning styles, using active learning techniques, and maintaining approachability as a key element of classroom culture.

I learned that being an effective instructor starts with professionalism. And that planning and preparation is key for a proper classroom learning experience, and for delivering the course content correctly. I plan to focus on the model, manager, motivator concept from this course.

Setting a good example is of utmost importance.  The students perceive the teacher as a role model to be emulated.  Another important aspect of professionalism is preparation.  Being ready to teach, start the lesson on time, shows professional behavior and creates a better environment in which the students absorb the material better, especially when well-prepared and presented in a logical way.

I learned that professionalism is key but has to be balanced with a personal touch that keeps the engagement of the students and their interest in the class. The ability to adapt to different teaching styles depend on the school, class, material, format and the personal experience.

Being prepared with the material to be presented.

Being early to class and office hours, not just on time.

Engaging students during lecture, "checking in" on them to make sure they are understanding the material.

Nelia Diaz  The instructor need to be proficient in a wide variety of areas such as learning theory ,curriculum development ,and human resource management.

I have learned to always be professional. I have also learned it is okay to be friends with the students, but you cannot be their pal. I have learned to always be prepared. This will help with the success in the classroom.

I have learned that the three roles of an instructor are Model, Manager, and Motivator. I intend to improve and prepare myself in each role to be an effective teacher. I will self-reflect and be mindful to grow into a professional instructor.

Setting professional standards is paramount of putting your best foot forward for the students.  Showing up on time, ready to go, with good personal grooming standards is key.

I have learned that I must reflect on my previous instructors, both good and bad, and draw from the lessons they taught me in both nursing and teaching.
