Activity

From this module, I learned that online learning requires a combination of self-discipline, organization, active participation, and effective time management.

I intend to apply these techniques by establishing a structured schedule for my online student encouraging them to participate actively in discussion and group activities.

From this module, I have learned to effectively navigate and utilize various digital tools and platforms that support online learning and communication.

I gained a deeper understanding of how to structure content, create interactive materials, and engage with students using technology.

I intend to apply these technical skills by designing online learning experiences that are organized, interactive, and student-centered.

Online Teaching has evolved far beyond simply uploading content and helping students engage.

Over time, I have learned that successful online instruction is built on intentional design, consistent presence, and flexibility.

Wisdom gained: Connection drives engagement

Best Practices: Clear Structure; Regular instructor presence.

Action plan: Weekly communication schedule.

Be proactive in reaching out to students.

Success: Students grow in confidence and independence.

Challenges: Students struggle with time management and a lack of motivation

From this module on non-technical Skills, I learned that effective teaching -especially in an online learning environment relies heavily on skills such as communication, empathy, adaptability, time management, and collaboration. While technical knowledge is important, non- technical skills play a crucial role in students' engagement and success.

I intend to apply these skills by communicating clearly and consistently with my online students. I will practice active listening and empathy, which will help me better understand students' challenges, particularly those balancing school, work, and family responsibilities

Through this module, I learned that effective online instructions go beyond content delivery and rely heavily on intentional engagement, instructor presence, and learner motivation. I gained a deeper understanding of how the communication course structure and meaningful interaction directly influence student persistence and success in an online learning environment

The differences between Summative and Formative assessments and their significance to students learning.

Summative informs if learning goals were met at the end.

Formative ensures learning is happening along the way. Together they create a balanced assessment system: one guides learning and the other validates it.

Apply concepts to real-life problems or case studies. Provide guidance early on then encourage more independent, encouraging more independence and goal settings.

Build strong communication by providing detailed grading rubrics and assignment guidelines

Understanding how to store, organize and retrieve learning objectives efficiently. The database links objectives with the course syllabi, lesson plans, exams and quizzes ensuring curriculum alignment.
