Lesson plans should be saved and organized you never know when they will be needed it also helps in the event that a sub will be needed.

Good time management is important to keeping the students engaged.

knowing your students and connecting real life experiences to the course material will go a long way to keeping them engaged and motivated.

I learned that engaged students that are respected and supported tend to stay and finish. as an instructor I have to find a way to engage students a good start is learning the names of the students day one.

I learned that there will be students of different ages and life experiences that will play a part in how the student will learn and grow while in the course and as an instructor I will need to be aware of this in order to best pass on the knowledge skills needed for the student to be successful  

I learned that lecture alone is not effective for everyone and mini lecture is affective due to the average adult attention span

I learned that the first day can set the tone for how the course and first impression golden and learning and remembering students names is paramount

Proper planning and preparation, as well as a well thought out and concise syllabus is key and essential to the success of the student and instructor alike.   

What I have gathered from is lesson, Teaching is about more than just presenting information but doing so in a way that is engaging for the student. Be professional at all times.
