I learned the importance of evaluating AI using criteria like transparency, relevance, safety, and tracking. I plan to review outputs regularly, monitor student use, and adjust content to keep it accurate and aligned with my curriculu
I need to keep up, and keep my own growth mindset. But I also need to balance the positives represented here with real industry and socioeconomic problems, ethical problems, and more that come with using AI. I think it's important to consider carefully how to integrate AI into my curriculum to enhance learning and ability, not replace it. And have those hard conversations about the problems in the real world.
Trusting AI is not losing control. The TRUST method (Transparency, Relevance, User Control, Safety, Tracking) helps me evaluate tools before using them. Independent AI needs weekly oversight. I am still responsible.
I will evaluate one tool using TRUST this week. I will set a 15-minute weekly reminder to review interactions and log errors. I will complete my AI Growth Plan.
AI can work independently, and usually go a good job, but it must be systematically monitored and corrected when it makes mistakes.
